Kecak and Fire Dance Ticket at Uluwatu Temple

It was great to experience the culture, but it was clearly oversold. As we, (and MANY others) had to sit on the ground. Ruined the experience as there was much we couldn’t see. It was also absolute chaos to enter the stadium. Also, upon entering the grounds you have to pay 1,000 IDR if you are on a bike (it’s more if you’re in a car). As well, regardless of purchasing online you still have to pay an additional 50,000 IDR (cash only) at you the entrance. Even if you weren’t visiting the temple. Spent more time waiting in a queue than at the show because it was only 45 minutes. Overall, the performance was great but many hidden fees, long wait and absolute mayhem to get in / out. As Gojek drivers wait outside the venue and won’t accept rides on the app.

The show is interesting, highly recommended when you visit Uluwatu temple. Remember to book in advance, as the tickets may be sold out for some days

DO NOT BOOK THIS THROUGH TRIPADVISER. The prices shown were in $US dollar, not $AUD. You don't receive the actual cost until the receipt of payment. The transportation provided by TripAdvisor is overpriced, 4x higher than local drivers. The temple is covered with so many tourists that it is difficult to explore or take photos. Beware of the monkeys. They are aggressive. They steal your belongings from you. They attacked our young daughter & attempted to rip out her hair braids, leaving her traumatised. Lining up early made no difference for preferred seating. The Kecak performance is advertised as 'Dance & Fire', although the fire component lasted only a minute. There was not enough time after the dance performance to visit Jimbaran Beach. Unfortunately, the cultural experience I was expecting was extremely underwhelming. I only gave 1 star because the on-site Warong was delicious & the locals were friendly. The performance itself was enjoyable.

Great show that highlights a spiritual connection with ancestors. The actor that played the Monkey was very entertaining.

Only booked this because it says fire dance. Unfortunately, there was no fire dance. Seats were uncomfortable. Narrow entrance to the stage.

It was a great experience, just watch out for the monkeys while walking around the temple first as they like to take hats, glasses, phones and shoes

The process to get the tickets was very easy. The also made recommendations to avoid crowd and get good seats. It’s a must.

Great Experience! Kecak dance performance on top of the cliff with the sunset as background is unforgetable. My kids (10 and 15) also enjoy it. If you’re a foreigner, I would recommend to get private tour with guide and inclusive “skip on the line ticket”. The line can be very long and you might get the second show. They offer 2x show, the first one start at 6pm, perfect time to watch sunset. The guide can also walk you to the cliff area and moving safely along the “aggressive monkey” in the area. Lastly, the guide can help to give introduction of the story/ synopsis of show. We use Viator and have a great experience with our guide, Eddy.
