In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.

Enjoyed this excursion. Captain provided commentary. We did the 6 hour tour and because we were there early in the season they did this once a day. Perhaps that might be the reason I think they oversold the cruise. Many people had to sit outside in the cold and rain. They provided "lunch". A burrito and stale chips.

The sea was rough, but the staff fantastic. Isaac was the best, with his offer to get water, tea, ginger ale, a blanket when we asked if he could, and fresh bags when I needed them. We saw orcas, humpbacks, puffins, otters, mountain goats, eagles, and sea lions from the outside upper deck. Thanks!

Very pleased with the trip. Captain gave very informative commentary and saw all the animals I wanted to see. Would recommend during whale season

The trip was excellent. However our tickets said May 10. And vítor sent the wrong information to the tour co. Thankfully the tour company got it fixed.

Was a great day. Commentary from the captain and the crew on board was amazing. Only criticism I would have was the lunch burrito. Mine at least had the wrapping welded to the tortilla so when you tried to open it it was a mess. Tasted alright but really a messy meal. Ship made up for it later however with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. Saw a large variety of wildlife. Orcas, humpbacks, goats, a bear, stellar sea lions, tons of birds and spectacular vistas.

Incredible trip! We saw orca, humpbacks, dolphins, puffins, mountain goats, seals and lions. Very educational. We enjoyed seeing Alaska from the water.
The weather great most of the time, just a little bit of rain/snow mix for about thirty minutes. My husband and I sat outside for the majority. If you choose that I’d recommend more clothing than you think you need - you’ll definitely need two layers of pants, and at least three up top plus a hat, scarf, and gloves.
Food was good! Any additional food was reasonably priced.
Crew members were so friendly and helpful!

We took the 4 hour spring Resurrection Bay Tour with two other senior couples. The staff was excellent. The captain knew just where to go. We took so many pictures we used up all of our cell phone batteries. The colors of the blue/green water was just breathtaking. There were 75 passengers on our boat and it didn't feel crowded. The boat was clean, including the restrooms. They fed us a simple lunch. We saw SO many animals. Be sure to visit the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward first if you have time. It makes the cruise even more interesting.
Grab a free Kenai Fjords Wildlife Guide brochure as you work your way to the front of the boat. Young families occupy the middle area. Bring a spare charger, snacks and a water bottle. Dress appropriately. I wore snow pants, a down jacket, a raincoat, gloves and ear covering. I also wore a prescription anti-nausea patch. Others in our group took OTC meds. If you are prone to seasickness take what works for you. The boat makes good time and at rest it rocks over its own wake. We rotated inside to get warm and outside to get great pics. Pictures taken thru the windows have too much glare, so enjoy the view and wait until you get outside to take more pics. The weather was perfect. Of course, Kenai Fjords Tours has no control of the weather, but blue skies, warm low 50's temps, and calm waters made for a memorable experience with dear friends. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing excursion! Definitely recommend. The glacier was absolutely breathtaking taking. The captain worked to make sure we saw plenty of sea life. The kids loved it. Definitely recommend.

The tour guides were very nice and pleasant to listen too, they tried their best to showcase the beautiful landscapes of Alaska! They looked out for their guests and made sure everyone was fit and healthy!

It was an amazing trip. Many of the other boats didn’t set out but ours did and didn’t disappoint Our captain was excellent and we saw a lot of Alaska’s beauty!
