The Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields are open for a limited time each year; while the staff at Keukenhof Gardens works very hard to ensure the seven million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and spring bulbs are in bloom during this eight-week period, the cycle of blooming flowers depends heavily on weather conditions. You are guaranteed to see a mixture of flowers in bloom from March to May, but April travel dates are recommended for the greatest chance to see the gardens at their very best, including the tulips.

This tour/activity will have a maximum of 80 travelers

The bus was easy and convenient and the included ticket helped expedite entrance. Keukenhoff Gardens were exquisite with beautiful landscape design and a vast collection of flowers, trees, shrubbery interspersed with water features, nice eating spaces and a children’s play area. The Disneyland of gardens! We were there the last week it was open and the fields had been cut down and the planted bulbs were not at peak, but there was still a lot of color and it was well worth the visit. Walking paths abound and seem accessible. The meeting place for ticket holders is at the Tours and Ticket office inside the Centraal terminal near the water side on the far east end. You have to go inside and get your tickets and then proceed with a guide to the bus at the prescribed time. The audio guide on the bus isn’t very informational and wasn’t working for about 1/5 of the riders. Overall, it is a convenient way to get to Keukenhoff when you don’t want to navigate other means of transportation or fight traffic and crowds.

FIRST they should tell you how to find the meeting place!!!! It is BEHIND the Amsterdam Central train station. As you are looking at the train station, go to the LEFT. Look for the pedestrian tunnel and go through towards the water. Then turn right. Go all the way to the end of the building and go inside and Tours and Tickets office will be there. Very frustrating! The young man who escorted us to the the bus was so sweet and nice to those who were having problems finding their bus and the office. You should promote this young man! Nick was our driver - he was good and gave good directions on when to be back and where to meet! Everyone got back on time. :) The tulips were pretty much over but the gardens are beautiful. Go earlier for better viewing. Still crowded though! I would go again - but weeks earlier.

Gardens are beautiful. Driver and ride were very pleasant. Walking two blocks to bus was unacceptable

This is a vast area which takes a couple hours to get through and enjoy. Flower enthusiast could spend days engrossing themselves in the vibrant colors and varieties of flowers this place has to offer. The charter from Central Station was less than an hour and was a comfortable ride with the driver giving an audio tour along the way. I recommend this place to anyone even if you aren't a flower junky. It's vibrant colors and beautiful layout is one of a kind.

Transport well organised. Comfy coaches with seat belts. Trip ran smoothly, without any problems. Flower garden was lovely to slowly walk around at your own pace. Food, drinks and souvenirs available to purchase. Was a great day out.

Had a lovely time even in the rain. Just be aware that this isn't large fields with lanes of tulips, it's more of a botanical garden. Which honestly I found more interesting anyway. And we went in early May, so a lot of the fields that you pass by had already been harvested. This tour was the perfect amount of time to walk around, get a snack, get a souvenir, and then you still had time for an afternoon of exploring in Amsterdam. Our bus guide was so lovely, gave clear instructions. The bus was clean and cool. If you're in the area during Tulip season, I think it's a worth while experience, the place has so much history and there's such a large variety of tulips and other flowers.

Loved looking at the flowers. They were getting toward the end of their bloom but still beautiful. We were there in the morning. Not many people then. Got busier in the afternoon.

We loved our trip to the Keukenhof Gardens! Like other reviewers mentioned, the check-in for the tours. But, we were able to receive guidance from the information desk representatives at the station. We also experienced the situation where tour groups were leaving prior to the scheduled time. However, there was another group leaving about 15 min after we arrived so it was no issue. Overall, while this was a tad complicated, it wasn't a huge deal. We were a bit late in the season to see the iconic flower fields but the Keukenhof Gardens had most of their tulip beds still in bloom for early May. It was definitely worth the half day trip!
