Pass By: New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana

This 2-hour swamp tour of New Orleans starts with pickup from your downtown hotel. After a 35-minute drive along the Mississippi River by air-conditioned van, you'll arrive at your destination.

Stop At: Barataria Preserve, Marrero, LA

Meet your airboat captain and settle into your seat on the 16-passenger vessel, then prepare for a wild ride into the swamp.

Powered by a 454 Chevy engine and propelled by huge fans, the airboat travels at speeds up to 25 miles per hour (40 kph). The captain performs exhilarating high-speed maneuvers, cruises at gentle speeds, and makes plenty of photo stops while narrating on the wildlife and local flora. Alligator sightings are common in these waters, but your guide is trained to ensure safety at all times during this family-friendly outing. After your tour concludes, relax with transport back to your hotel in New Orleans.

the swamp tour was fabulous the boat captain who also was our tour guide was very professional and very experience and knew his way around the swamp as he took us to certain parts of the swamp and he tied the boat up where he was able to call the attention of three alligators who came up to the boat and he starting feeding them so that we were able to take fabulous pictures. it was a great experience. thank you so much to the Louisiana tour company and your staff were great. i recommend this tour to all who want to experience the Louisiana bayou.

Captain Ernie was great and educational. We saw Bald Eagles, some other birds and plenty of alligators. This airboat did not have alot of people which I also liked about the tour. Transportation to and from our hote was great too.

Captain Earnie was sweet and educational. Probably my favorite part of visiting New Orleans. Swamp puppies were so cute. Just be sure to research what time of year is best to actually see them, since they aren’t out and active all year long.

Kenny was our guide and he was awesome!! Great ride, saw a bunch of gators and was able to hold a baby gator. Kenny interacted with some gators in the water and fed them marshmallows. He made the ride fun by taking quick turns in the boat and splashing water on us as well. I would definitely do this again.

Had a great time on the large airboat swamp tour! Our tour guide and boat operator Captain Ernie was amazing! Made sure we saw plenty of gators and had a really fun ride around the swamp. Made several stops and gave us a good education on the swamp, gators, and plenty of fun stories! Our tour was one of the highlights of our trip.

It is a fun tour, especially if it is your first time. The airboat is noisy, but they give hearing protection. It might be a little windy, so you might want to bring a jacket. Definitely do not forget your glasses, it will help with the wind blowing into your face. It is very convenient since they can pick you up from all major downtown hotels.
