Patrick introduced real local delicious restaurants! As It was my first time traveling China and I was alone, I needed someone to help or introduce me how to use apps or take a taxi etc.. although I studied before I visit China. He was so thoughtful and considerate to foreigners and was really good English speaker. I made good memories in Shanghai, China and I would never forget his kindness. Oh the foods were soooo delicious! Some restaurants were on my list and sime were not. But If I didn’t had this Night food trip, I would never experienced food culture share! In this Night food trip, I tried sooo many delicious dumplings 🥟🥟 I will miss so many delicious dumplings when I go back to my hometown 😂😂 Thank you so much! 謝謝 Patrick!

This is a fantastic way to see the streets of Shanghai and experience the wonderful array of local dishes, something we wouldn't have done on our own but so glad we decided to do this tour. Jimmy is a local guide with a wealth of knowledge which make the evening very relaxing and enjoyable.

Priceless experience for a first time visit to Shanghai! We would never have found these places or tasted such delicious food without the guidance of Jim, and his insights into the culture and history of China were invaluable too.

Jim was very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting guide to the some nice culinary spots in Shanghai. He was also amazing in recommending many other spots that we asked about. It is great to have this experience especially when you have such a challenge as language barrier. We would never visit those places and taste some nice food.

I appreciated the balance of learning about the history of the area and the foods we tried. I particularly enjoyed that the food covered a wide range of options and I tried food I haven’t had before. I come from a part of the USA that has a large Chinese diasporic population, so I’ve had a lot of Chinese food, but this tour found foods I’ve not seen back home! I will surely miss these items when I depart Shanghai.

Jim and Jade were absolutely fantastic. They were both extremely knowledgeably and we had a great time on the tour. We ate and drank at places we would never have found as a tourist. The food and drink was delicious. Jim and Jade spoke good English and the tour was better than we could have imagined. For someone who has never visited China this was the perfect tour to introduce us to the culture and food of Shanghai.

It was a little difficult for us to find the meetup spot since we couldn’t find the subway stop name online (google and other not banned web browsers). But the description of the meetup spot is accurate. We ended up mapping the address provided to find the tour. We went to a number of different restaurants and tried a variety of really good food. And our tour guide gave us some Shanghai history as we walked between spots. I definitely recommend this tour for a great small group food tour experience.

Was top notch experience. The eaterys were very unassuming but the food was A+++. Even better was the host who was extremely well spoken, very knowledgeable to the history of Shanghai. I learnt so much in just a short period. Also the food was more than you can eat!
