If you have Walking tour included the tour will terminate a the characteristic Central Market where you will have the opportunity to taste many local dishes and by excellent local products

Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

Pass By: Palazzo Pitti, Piazza Dei Pitti 1, 50125, Florence Italy

Visit this historic palace, which became the main home of the ruling families of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. It was the centre of government for the 300 years that Tuscany was a monarchy. Later the palace was used as a base by Napoleon. During the Risorgimento, for a short time it was the royal palace of the newly united Italy.

Pass By: Ponte Vecchio, 50125, Florence Italy

Walk through Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge noted for the shops built along it.

Pass By: Campanile di Giotto, Piazza del Duomo Historical Center, 50122, Florence Italy

Admire a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral.
The unusual position of the bell tower, aligned with the facade, reflects the desire to give it great importance as a sign of strong verticality at the center of the Insula Episcopalis, as well as probably the practical need to free the view of the apse area for the large dome, foreseen since Arnolfian project. Giotto provided an original design for the bell tower, with a pyramidal cusp termination 50 Florentine arms high (about 40 metres), according to which the total elevation should have been approximately 120-125 metres. A drawing preserved in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Siena is considered by some scholars to be inspired by this project.

Pass By: Piazza della Signoria, 50122, Florence Italy

Walk through this square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, also shared with the Loggia della Signoria. It is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.

Pass By: Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Santa Croce 16, 50122, Florence Italy

Walk through this square where you can admire Basilica di Santa Croce, one of the largest Franciscan churches and one of the greatest Gothic achievements in Italy, and has the rank of minor basilica. It is an Italian national monument.

Pass By: Galleria Palatina in Palazzo Pitti, Amici di Palazzo Pitti Piazza Pitti 1, 50125, Florence Italy

Visit Palatine Gallery, is a museum housed in Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Housed within the architectural complex, it is located on the main floor, divided into 28 rooms that extend into the rear northern lateral wing of the architectural complex and into the northern lateral part and central rear part of the main building of the palace.

This is the "picture gallery" of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany: the layout in fact respects the taste of past centuries, with the paintings placed in several rows, selected for decorative criteria, and not by period and schools. Chronologically, with a few exceptions, the paintings mainly cover the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the most important museums of its kind in Italy, as well as an obligatory stop for learning about the history of European collecting.

Pass By: Basilica di San Lorenzo, Piazza di San Lorenzo 9, 50123, Florence Italy

Walk through Basilica of San Lorenzo, one of the main Catholic places of worship in Florence, located in the square of the same name in the historic center of the city. It is one of the churches that compete for the title of the oldest in the city and has the dignity of a minor basilica[1]. The San Lorenzo market is held near the church.

Pass By: Piazza del Mercato Centrale, 50136, Florence Italy

Visit Central Market, one of the results from the time of risanamento, during the late nineteenth century. Inside, is possible to find primary ingredients of Tuscan cuisine, fruits and vegetable stands as well as nuts and spices. Outside, you can find leather goods.

Tour guide did not have a flag, and many times walked too fast. It was a problem because there were enormous crowds. However, Francesco was a very nice and helpful guide.

Francisco was awesome, very entertaining. You could either roam around on your own or Francisco offered to walk people to a few sites. Florence and Pisa were great, the maps provided were very helpful. Francisco gave great advice on places to see. I think the tour could spend a little longer in Florence to take in the main points of interest better.

We had the best tour guide - Francesco was the best. Knowledgeable and witty. He took a group of us through Florence and was so great setting a pace for all of us. Timing was perfect.

The bus driver was great, considering the traffic he kept close to schedule but the hostess was Spanish? But the main problem was that most passengers were US/English speaking and her grasp of the language was very poor and we had problems understanding and taking to her. The company needs to consider this.

Florence was very breathtakingly beautiful. It was too much walking and too short a time. The drop off and pick up point for Florence was out of the way and a long walk especially for us who have problems walking. Our tour guide Greko was very good and understanding.

The tour guide lady is very nice , but will suggest use a different color umbrella, very difficult to see in long distance with all the umbrellas. And please have a meet up point somewhere else, not the bus, too far. For got the way to find the bus. So far she is very nice and sweet.

Almost missing bus back from Florence. Not enough free time in Florence and Pisa and groups too large. Finding bus location difficult.

The tour guide did not wait or give a meeting point. One of our group was physically limited, so we got separated. Took a wrong turn and arrived where the bus WAS, 10 minutes late. She left us. Not able to speak the language. Had to taxi to cruise terminal. 100 euro later. Stressed, terrified and physically exhausted. Not a pleasant experience.!!!!! Sad because we had been looking forward to this trip for months.

The shuttle was on time, the ride was smooth and comfortable. I enjoyed the ability to explore on my own with the map provided by the tour guide. We were given clear instructions and time limits to ensure we made it back to the boat, our group was 79 people, amazingly, everyone was respectful and abided. We had plenty of time to see the wonderful culture as well as sit down for an authentic lunch in Florence. We also enjoyed Pisa and it's surroundings. Moreover, the area around the shuttle pickup in Livorno is quite special with a wonderful open air fruit/veggies market and spectacular fish and meat hall. We wouldn't have experienced it if our tour guide didn't encourage us to take a walk while we wait for the shuttle to arrive, I am glad we listened.
