Lovely tour. Attentive staff and knowledgeable architectural guide. As psychiatrists though, we would prefer that the guide not continually use the word ‘lunatic’ as it is considered derogatory and stigmatising to people suffering with mental health issues. Whilst we understand that the building was called the ‘Lunatic Asylum’ he should perhaps clarify that this is now considered a discriminatory term. Thanks. As has been our experience in many countries. Viator trips are of a high standard

It was a wonderful day spent with my 86 year old mother--a really nice way to take in the sights of Manhattan without having to walk for miles. We enjoyed sipping on a glass of sparkling wine and learning about the architecture and local knowledge. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive and what a nice surprise that we circumvented the entire island of Manhattan, topped off with a great spin by Lady Liberty! Very worth the time and money, thank you!

The history explaining the motivations driving the architectural projects for buildings and bridges was fascinating! It was exciting to learn how those projects contributed to the economic vitality of NYC! From Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island the borough’s of NYC have a richness of diverse cultures I never adequately appreciated before. Additionally, the intellectual, artistic, and business stimulation of having major universities like Columbia and NYU right in the heart of the city was an awakening for me. It was also enlightening to learn that Emily Warren Roebling played a pivotal role in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge!
This was good value for the price.

Doug was a great host, incredibly knowledgeable and fun. We were protected from the weather and given the option to go out on the deck or stay inside and listen. Your circumnavigated Manhattan for us and I learned a lot of knew things about the island
