Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Duomo di Milano, Piazza del Duomo, 20122 Milan Italy

If your time in Milan is limited, or if you want an overview to guide your exploration, this one-day walking tour is the perfect introduction, taking in all the most prominent sights – including guaranteed entry to see Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’.

Led by your local, English-speaking guide, you’ll visit some iconic sights and some on the path less travelled. You’ll get to skip the line at Milan Duomo and experience this world-famous cathedral without waiting – unlike the city itself, which waited nearly 600 years for the incredible building to be completed.

The tour will pause again so you can admire the medieval Sforza Castle, before delving into the cobbled streets of the Brera district. This is the beating heart of Milan’s social and cultural life, as your guide will explain. You’ll hear about all the famous artists and thinkers that have called Brera home, as well as some more up-to-date recommendations of places to revisit later for a drink or a meal.

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Stop At: Castello Sforzesco, Piazza Castello, 3, 20121 Milan Italy

You'll see another architectural wonder at the Medieval Sforza Castle, which your guide will explain from the outside.

Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Brera District, Via Pontaccio, Via FatebeneFratelli, Via dei Giardini, Via Monte di Pieta, Via Ponte Vetero and Via Mercato., Milan Italy

Along the way you’ll pass through the cobbled streets of the Brera district where you’ll find the heart of Milan’s social life. With your guide leading the way you’ll hear about the artists and intellectuals that once called these streets home, and get some tips on where to visit for a meal or a drink later.

Pass By: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza del Duomo, 20123 Milan Italy

Our next stop is the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafés, it is often called the drawing room of Milan for its importance as a common meeting point. Passing through the Gallery we arrive at Piazza della Scala, the square which houses the world renowned Scala Theatre – Milan’s Opera House since 1778 which is still in use. Some of the greatest musicians and singers in history have performed here, notably Giuseppe Verdi whose famous operas, such as Falstaff, often premiered in this very theatre.

Stop At: Il Cenacolo, Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie, 20123 Milan Italy

It all builds to a viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s phenomenal mural, ‘The Last Supper’. Often imitated, never bettered, this masterpiece is carefully preserved, and only one group is allowed to view it at a time. This can make tickets a challenge to acquire, but yours are included in this package, along with special Skip the Line Access – so you’re guaranteed your full 15 minutes with the fresco. Listen as your guide points out the details that earn ‘The Last Supper’ its place in the history books.

After just one day, you’ll find your relationship to Milan forever changed for the better.

Was not aware of walking distance from Duomo to Last Supper. Audio headphones fair quality, when guide looked up to talk could not hear her. Was charged more than expected on credit card. Thought going to see La Scala

Great tour with best Viator guide I’ve experienced- and I’ve used Viator for many years. Of course the Last Supper was the highlight but enjoyed the other parts of the tour as well. Great explanation of the city’s history and significance.

Seeing The Last Supper was incredible. David, the tour guide was very, very good. The negative was the amount of walking required for this tour.

Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She threw in a bonus spot during tour that i was wanting to see. Just wish weather would've been better...but tour guide has no control over that. It was a great tour!

Seeing The Last Supper and learning about the difference in mural painting methods. Guide moved a bit fast. We could have used more explanation about Sforza Castle and what we were seeing.

We had the best experience with David as our tour guide. Definitely well educated and extremely interesting. We were impressed not only with the gorgeous sites, but his commentary.

Our guide, Elisa, took us on a fantastic tour of several of Milan’s iconic sites. We started at the Duomo where, as promised, we zipped past the masses of people and were taken inside immediately. Elisa shared with us the details of its history and allowed us plenty time to take photos and take in the grandeur of the cathedral. We then walked to the beautiful Vittorio Emanuel II Galleria. From there, we walked past the Da Vinci statue and La Scala on our way to Castle Sforza. The castle is incredible and Elisawas well versed in its history and significance. Finally, we took the short walk from the castle to Chiesa Santa Maria delle Grazie, the beautiful church and its adjacent monastery that is home to Da Vinci’s Last Supper. It was the perfect finale to a great day and a great tour!

Should inform people of how much walking is involved. It was a lit and appropriate footwear should worn. Guide was excellent.
