Very educational learning about the river and rainforest. Great guide who navigated through all the dangers and poisonous things from tree to frogs etc. Monkeys were prevalent as well.

Local guide Doyle and Doyle Jr. were great. Everything you would expect from a great tour. The only thing we didn't see was a jaguar.

Six adults joined the group going to the Monkey River. Four had never been to the rain forest. Doyle and Junior were our guides. They were excellent! Doyle was so informative, you could tell he loved the rain forest and his job. He was very funny. Lunch was ok, interesting village.
Highly recommend the trip.

The boat ride thru the mangroves and up the river was enjoyable. The town is very modest and lunch was just average. We weren’t expecting a lot, but if you bring kids, be sure to pack snacks. The highlight was seeing three troops of howler monkeys. I wish we had more time to enjoy watching them but our guide seemed in a hurry. This trip was only 4.5 hours which was plenty long enough for us but not as advertised.

We took the Monkey River Tour the day after our arrival. It was a perfect way to become oriented to the beautiful location! Doyle was such an amazing guide… soooo knowledgeable about all the great wildlife. We saw monkeys, crocs, dolphins, and many other amazing species! A great experience!!

We had a great time with Doyle on this tour! They picked us up from our hotel and the tour was fun and informative. We didn’t see any manatees but found several monkeys to observe.

This is a highlights from our trip to Belize. We did snorkeling in Caye Caulker, Mayan Ruins around San Ignacio and Tikal in Guatemala, but this was my favorite excursion. Our guide, Will, was great. He really knows his stuff and goes out if his way to make your trip enjoyable. We saw crocs, iguanas, monkeys, manatees and so many species of birds. I highly recommend,

A fascinating tour: lots of fun on the boat ride, good animal and bird sightings from the water, and a good trek though the jungle, especially to see (and hear) the howler moneys. Manatee sighting on the way home were a bonus. Our guide was excellent. Lunch was a bit blah.
