Itinerary
This 4-1/2 hour cruise departs daily from Keauhou Bay and includes 2-1/2 hours of snorkeling at pristine Kealakekua Bay, snorkel gear, instruction, floatation gear, high dive, two 15' water slides, and environmentally friendly reef-safe sunscreen.
Guests are served a light tropical breakfast of a fresh island fruit bowl, traditional muesli, homemade banana bread, assortment of teas including Hawaiian Mamaki, and 100% Kona Coffee grown on the Fair Wind family farm. Our island-inspired lunch features a savory BBQ Jackfruit & coleslaw sandwich (pulled pork style) and tasty chickpea sandwich (tuna salad style). Sides include 'ulu (breadfruit) & purple sweet potato salad and a mixed green salad with an array of homemade dressings. To top things off, enjoy a fresh homemade cookie dessert before heading back out for more beautiful snorkeling. During the last hour of the cruise, our cash bar is open with cocktails, beer & wine for purchase.

Hula Kai is fast and comfortable. That's where it ends. You can get to the same snorkel locations on other boats. Capt. Isaac is immature, egotistical and questionable humor skills. The crew is disengaging with the customers. One crew member only wanted to flirt with the captain. When asked if they could help with a snorkeller's fins (handing them up to them) Capt. Isaac said "we give moral support." What the heck does that mean? And then, there is the food. Most people quietly threw it away. Not appetizing at all. If you are going to press your company's belief's on clients, then maybe, get in another business. Your vegan, etc food selection is not appealing to the masses. The chips were good.

This was an amazing, unforgettable experience. The crew was super friendly, the food was amazing, I even jumped off the high dive and made new friends for life with the stripey boiz (Ok, Hawaiian Sergeant Major fish).

We really liked our experience with Fairwind. The fact that breakfast and lunch are included is really appreciated. They have a prime spot in the bay with a ton of fishes and corals. The crew is also really great and amusing.

Amazing excursion. The crew is helpful and entertaining. The boat ride itself gives you a fantastic panorama view of the island. And then of course the snorkeling is incredible; beautiful views of the fish and coral, and the water is warm and calm. Highly recommend this outing.

Very fun!! One of our favorite things we did while on the big island. Food was amazing, crew was amazing. Very family friendly and beginner friendly if you’ve never snorkeled.

Great experience from booking to check in to the trip itself. Gear was in great condition. Experienced, knowledgeable Captain, highly capable crew, everyone went above and beyond to ensure the comfort, enjoyment and safety of all on board. Highly recommend and would book with them again.

The crew was absolutely fantastic and the snorkeling was great! The one downside that would unfortunately stop me from booking with this company again was the food. We had taken this same snorkel trip a few years ago and had a yummy breakfast and then they grilled cheeseburgers and hot dogs on the back of the boat for lunch. Delicious and so much fun! They have now gone to a plant-based menu ONLY, and we didn't care at all for the food. We couldn't even identify most of it and didn't eat it. So we were left looking for somewhere to have lunch when we got off the boat.

This is a family run business that has been doing this for over 50 years. They do everything to make it a spectacular day. The crew is top notch, the food is family grown and delicious, and the respect for the environment and native culture was much appreciated. You cannot go wrong with this snorkeling tour! It will be a great day!

Very friendly staff. Well equipped for a great snorkeling experience. They made the tour fun. this tour is great for families and people of all ages. The kids on board we’re having a great time. The waterslides were well used. The snorkeling is great.
