We were so impressed with our Skip The Line visit to the Musée D’Orcy. Our Guide Claire was very knowledgeable and very interesting. Would happily recommend it. Anna

D’Orsay is a challenging place to do a tour. The collection has a limited scope—French visual art over a 60ish year period—but a huge collection. This makes picking specific works to discuss while explaining their place difficult. No matter what you pick, there’s always going to be an equally worthy work a few steps away. I thought the tour made good choices in hitting the major artistic themes while picking good representation of those themes. Our guide also did a good job of being helpful with exploring the rest of the museum and seeing other places in Paris with related collections. We’ve been on many tours. The key is always the guide. Claire was as good as they get. Her English was excellent. She was personable and knowledgeable. As with all good guides, she knows how to engage with the people in her group. She dealt with the minuses of the museum well, I thought. The museum is very crowded, very noisy and filled with other tourists and guides jockeying for position. It’s unpleasant. Claire was very good at navigating through this mess while keeping people together. Though we loved the art collection the people collection caused us to leave earlier than we had planned.

We had the best tour guide, Violette!!! She was prompt, passionate, and highly informative about each piece of artwork she showed us. Additionally, she looked out for the group and didn't allow other visitors to 'push' us around or prevent us from seeing something. This, by far, was my most favorite tour of our trip.

“Skip The Line” is misleading. This tour began at a Metro stop with a long bus connection to Versailles. Once there, we waited 30+ minutes in line to enter at the group tour entrance. I don’t fault the operator as the crowds are daunting. Just be warned that it is not a seamless process.

It was so exhilarating seeing the work of my fav artist, Claude Monet. I grew up in a place where zero culture was celebrated or taught. As I began to expose myself more to art and other art forms, my interest grew. This tour was very educational and interesting.

We absolutely loved our tour with Marion. She was an expert tour guide who led the group through the skip the line process and spoke about the art with humor and knowledge. I especially appreciated the way she wove several key points about the history of the Impressionists in Paris that tied the entire placement of the art within the museum together. It made for a very informative presentation. I would highly recommend this tour first to skip the lines but second to understand the art more.

We loved the Musee de Orsay. The tour that we attended ran a little late so it meant about 4 tours entered the museum at one time. It was very crowded looking at different artworks. Our guide was lovely and did her best but it was a bit chaotic. I think I would have preferred a skip the line tour this time as we found it easier to wander around at our own pace when the tour had finished.
