Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Pass By: New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana
Drive-out along the Mississippi River approximately 30 miles (48 km) to the embarkation point of your airboat from your New Orleans hotel. Depending on the option you selected, board a large airboat holding 15 to 25 passengers or a small airboat limited to six to eight passengers for a more intimate, personalized experience.
Stop At: Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, 419 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70130-1035
Set out on a 1 hour and 45 minute tour on a 20,000-acre (8,095-hectare) tract of tidewater cypress swamp close to the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Your airboat is powered by an aircraft propeller to allow a fast, fluid trip through the shallow marshes. Feel the wind on your face as you zip into bayous lined with mossy cypress and tupelo-gum trees.
Prepare to see plenty of alligators in the warmer months (and warmer days in winter), some of which may be out sunning themselves on rocks! Your guide may even feed the gators, affording amazing photo opportunities. Keep your eyes open for turtles, snakes, egrets, herons and ibis. You may even catch sight of a hawk, owl or bald eagle. In the cooler months, look for white-tailed deer, raccoons and the large rodents known as nutria.
Be sure to check out the indoor exhibits of alligators, including an albino alligator.
Note: This tour does not include hotel pick-up or drop-off unless option selected at checkout.

We were in a big boat but we’re able to get seats on the side. There were 5-6 in each row. The smaller boats had only four. The area was lovely with flowers blooming and lots of gators. The narrator was a soft spoken woman in the back and we didn’t hear most of what she said. . She needed something to magnify her voice. Otherwise it was good.

Very touristy, but a lot of fun! Our guide did a great job explaining everything, and even put on a show with one of the Gators!

We picked the speed boat and the pick up. It was one of the best experience, u can even have alcohol on the boat. We had so much fun , definitely worth the money and will do it again.
For the pick up location, u have to pay attention the pick up bus description, it’s gonna be multiple different tour companies stop by. Highly recommend spending little bit more money for this extra service. You never know if any Lyft or Uber drivers willing to take you there.

It was a nice tour, I really couldn’t hear the guide a lot because he wasn’t speaking loud enough for the whole group but we did see a lot of alligators.

A 40 minute journey outside of New Orleans brings you to the swamp. Our tour guide Ramone was extremely knowledgeable and was very interesting explaining the environment and especially the alligators. Well worth the experience. However our boat broke down twice which was such a shame.

Booked to go unfortunately our transport was delayed getting to our hotel that day and even though I tried contacting tour operator numerous times on various platforms that day to reschedule they didn’t respond . NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all . Money down the drain .

Nice boat ride. Not happy that they said Uber could not get us there & we had to pay $30 a person extra for transportation. Also , 2 boats broke down & we had to wait 30 minutes for the people to get back on our bus
