On this tour, you will enjoy a fully narrated swamp tour by one of our local captains on the comfort of a swamp tour boat. Our tour boats feature a roof, cushioned seats, windows that can be raised or lowered for the weather, restroom, and plenty of standing and walking room. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. The Swamp Tour by Tour Boat with Pickup does include ground transportation.

Traveler pickup is offered
Pickup from most major downtown New Orleans hotel. For pickups, there will be a 30 minute window. Please be on the lookout for a bus that says Alert Transportation.

Folding wheelchairs are allowed, but the driver is not allowed to pick up a person to help them gain entrance. The customer must get into the minibus by themselves or with assistance from family or friends.
Please note you are not guaranteed to see a gator. They hibernate in winter months but are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Our tour guide was informative, friendly, helpful. The tour itself was very interesting. We learned a lot about this environment - everything from how it was formed to the things that threaten the environment. I was surprised at the amount of wildlife that lives there. The plants and trees are beautiful. I am so glad that we took the tour and not depend on cab service or other since the swamp is quit a ways from town. Gifts and snacks are available in the little snack shop. Shady places to sit are available to wait for your tour. Restrooms are also available.

Great experience will definitely be returning. Transportation was difficult, you have to call to contact the tour company as they will not respond in the app until you miss the reservation, number is on the bottom of the option before booking

The experience from beginning to end was spectacular! The shuttles to and from were clean, high quality and really nice drivers. They picked us up right by our airbnb in Marigny which was super convenient. The ride out to the boats wasn’t long and the whole process was organized and easy. The boat ride itself was great. We opted for the tour and it was educational and entertaining. We got to hold a baby gator which was so fun and we are so happy we did it!

Second time on this tour - went once over a decade ago with my kids and this year on an adults-only trip. This is a great tour for both. Very laid back, friendly, and down-to-earth tour guide. Beautiful views, informational and not overcrowded. Enjoyed seeing swamp land, marsh grass, and gators. A lovely adventure with a fun group!

Fun, educational and entertaining tour of the bayou with an engaging and knowledgeable captain. Learned of the history of the area as well as the impact of hurricanes. Saw many alligators. Would recommend. Was very convenient to be picked up at our hotel in the French Quarter.

Cruising the bayou was beautiful and our guide was very informative about the history and current state of the swamp itself and surrounding area taught me a lot of things I didn’t know it was a plus to see a lot of gators and they swam right up to us it was a sight to see and I enjoyed every minute

Unforgettable experience in New Orleans! A must do if you are interested in marine life in a swamp! If you can, request to get on Captain Ernie’s boat, he made our time on his boat a true 5-star experience. He was very knowledgeable about all the biology in the swamp. He made it interactive and helped break down the negative stereotypes that surround alligators. Can’t recommend this tour enough and again how great Captain Ernie was!
