Stop At: Omaha Beach, Avenue de la Liberation, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer France
Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.

Our guide, Julian was phenomenal and very knowledgeable. He made the day very worthwhile. You walk away with an understanding of the day and why so many died….a true immersion in the history of that day and the few days that followed.

The tour was great, BUT, our tour guide was so sick, he was coughing all day long, it was so uncomfortable but the worst part was that Paris-Normandy was only our second destination, I'm 100% sure he contagied us with whatever he had, tour companies should NOT allow tour guides to work sick. It is totally unacceptable. Now, we are at Florence, Italy, me, my husband and our daughter are all sick. We were 8 people total in our tour group, I wonder if they got sick too.

Enzo, our tour guide was fantastic! We appreciated his knowledge, sense of humor, and joyful energy. He customized the tour for our group and was respectful, kind, and helpful. The tour van was a comfortable ride to experience a powerful tour of Normandy. This was our second tour with Viatour and will be booking more tours.

This tour was absolutely extraordinary! Our tour guide, Aaron was the reason this was so true. His background of 12 years in the British military provided the perspective of understanding maneuvers and tactics. Additionally, his passion and knowledge on the history of the events of June 6, 1944 were clearly evident. I have read and studied the history of that day but I have never heard a more complete and coherent account of the events of D-Day and its context to the events prior to and following the Allied invasion at Normandy. I understand this pivotal day in history in a way that I had not before this. I am certain no other guide could have equaled the unique qualities that made Aaron so exceptional.
Do not let the price of this tour question its unqualified value. This is a full day and being part of a tour of only 8 people provides a personal experience that cannot be obtained with a large bus tour. We visited German gun emplacements, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and Operation Overlord Museum. The van was comfortable. The drive to and from Normandy was enjoyable.
I do not know how this tour or our amazing guide Aaron could have been improved upon. If you want to explore and understand D-Day 1944, this is unquestionably the tour to take.

I am very interested in WW2 and it was exciting to see the places I've learned about and viewed documentaries concerning this devastating war. It was a long day, but very enjoyable. I only wished we had a guide more fluent in English so he could provide better historical facts.
