Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms and 17th-century Great Hall; a room boasting an impressive collection of artefacts including suits of armour and medieval weapons.

In the castle's 14th-century gaol, the original dungeon, see graffiti left behind by prisoners hundreds of years ago. How many names can you spot?

We felt that we did not have enough time in Oxford and too much in other place. The guide was so-so. We ended up leaving one woman behind, as she was late to the meeting point. I thought it was awful to do that.

Godfrey and Soren were the perfect hosts and guides for this tour. Experiencing history going back to the 11C: the battle for the throne at Warwick Castle and the war of the churches and the tradition of university education at Oxford combined with the literary heritage of William Shakespeare at Stratford on Avon, what a perfect combination. Godfrey’s extensive knowledge and dry sense of humour was appreciated. His commentary, not only in our destination sites, but also on the drive along the way, was exactly what we were looking for in this tour. We very much enjoyed him and our trip. It’s been the highlight of our holiday so far!

Angela was a great guide giving us a lot of history and free time to explore the sites. Driver was also excellent. Sad that we couldn’t see the Cotswold because of road work.

All of the stops were great. Angela, our guide and Idris, our driver were both friendly and professional. Angela supplied us with lots of historical facts and interesting information. The only reason that I didn’t rate the tour as 5 stars is that we didn’t get to go to the Cotswolds because of road construction. This isn’t their fault, but we were looking forward to seeing the countryside. One thing that I would suggest to whoever writes up the descriptions is to include how much free time is included in the description. It would help for planning purposes.

Nice trip, everything organized. Angela took good care of us. We didn’t get to the Cotswold since the traffic problems, and most of the places in Oxfords doesn’t open for public in Sunday afternoon.
