Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Poilâne, 38 Rue Debelleyme, 75003 Paris, France

Begin your exploration of the food scene in Marais the French way: with a buttery croissant from a local baker. Sample some of the freshly baked sourdough and hear more about how this bread is different to any other you’ll find in the city!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Chez Alain Miam Miam, 26 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris, France

At a historic market in the neighborhood, you’ll try some specialty crêpes made from chickpea flour. Originating from the south of France, these delicious snacks have become locally renowned!

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Jean-Paul Hevin - Marais - The Chocolate Bar (re), 41 Rue de Bretagne, 75003 Paris, France

It’s time for something sweet! Next, you’ll take a trip to one of the best chocolatiers in the neighborhood. Sample some macarons from a spot whose owner boasts the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France – a title reserved for craftspeople at the top of their trade.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Sacha Finkelsztajn - La Boutique Jaune, 27 Rue des Rosiers, 75004 Paris, France

Learn more about the Jewish history of Paris with a visit to this store, opened in the 1946 in the heart of the Jewish Quarter. Full to the brim with various delicacies you won’t find elsewhere, you’ll get to sample some of their specialties including a brioche stuffed with beef (or a vegetarian equivalent!).

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: At the town of Rodez, 22 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris, France

Step inside this old-school delicatessen to a food lover’s heaven. If cheese is your thing, you won’t be disappointed. Taste a handpicked selection of the finest cheeses along with some cured meats from the Auvergne and Aveyron regions in France.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Les Philosophes, 28 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris, France

Next, it’s time for a lesson in conscious cooking. Originally opened as a protest against the fast food chains appearing all over France, this restaurant has made it a point of pride to make everything on-site, from scratch using only quality, local products. You’ll taste the difference once you sample their delicious French onion soup.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Maison Aleph, 20 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris, France

A modern classic awaits at your next stop. This French-Syrian bakery fuses flavors of the Middle East and local French ingredients into little “nests” of joy. These pastries are pure delights and showcase the potential in combining two delicious cuisines.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: L'Etiquette - Cave/bar à vins (vins bio, nature & dégustation), 10 Rue Jean du Bellay, 75004 Paris, France

The final stop on our French food adventure is, of course, a wine shop! Here you’ll meet the owner of this local gem and hear about his selective process of sourcing his natural wines. Sip on some sparkling refreshment as you expand your knowledge of French wines.

Wonderful way to start a peaceful walk through beautiful surroundings whilst enjoying a variety of foods. The stores we visited were amazing and the highest quality of food was provided. Get away from the museums and hustle and bustle to feel part of the community and learn a bit of history. Wonderful tour!

We had a very enjoyable and informative time, despite the rainy weather. There were only six people in total, which was a great size. Davide, our guide, is a 29 year-old world traveler, experienced in the restaurant business and very familiar with Le Marais and Paris in general. He had a lot of interesting tidbits to share about the food, about Le Marais, and about life in Paris as he sees it. He was very funny; be sure to ask him about his yoghurt-making experience, or about buying cheese in a supermarket! Oh yeah, and the foods were varied and delicious.

My daughter and I did this tour on our first full day in Paris and it was fantastic! What a great way to get to know the city and try some amazing food! Davide was such a wonderful guide and we learned so much from him. Fun group and lots of laughs! Next to seeing Taylor Swift this was our favorite and I would highly recommend this tour for anyone.

I would highly recommend Devour Tours. We booked the Ultimate Food Tour for the afternoon when we arrived. Unfortunately our plane was delayed and we missed our tour. They had no problem accommodating us to another time slot. We had Julia and she fit us in seamlessly. The tour was wonderful and we enjoyed it all, especially Des Marches Enfants Rouges. We would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this food tour. I enjoyed stopping at 8 locations, which is more than other food tours I've done. There was a wide variety of food across the 8 stops which made it more enjoyable and interesting. Our guide David was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept the group moving but offered in depth information at our stops including multiple props he kept pulling out of his little tote bag. I would do this tour again on my next trip to Paris!

Davide was extremely knowledgeable of the local food scene in le Marais. We now know which type of baguette is best and where to find them. The “Market of the Red Children” is a must for foodies!

Our guide was Antoine, Tony/Anthony, and he was FANTASTIC!!! We throughly enjoyed the history of Paris as well as the food along the tour. It was worth every penny. Be sure to not eat before the tour because it was a lot of food. Tony’s personality and sense of humor made you feel like you knew him your whole life. Our entire group were the nicest people. My daughter and I loved it so much. Thank you, Tony!!! You are an asset as a tour guide. Wishing you all the best.

What a splendid evening in La Marais, Paris! Weather was perfect, and my nine fellow Devourers were from all acres SS North America, all ages. Dave, our fun, witty, enthusiastic, indefatigable, knowledgeable leader not only guided us through station after station of the best dining imaginable, but instructed us about the area and food preparation as we went. I leaned as much about the art of making and appreciating what I as eating as I enjoyed eating it! Dave had a seemingly effortless way of keeping us in schedule while giving us freedom to explore along the way. I think the wine and cheese tasting at the end was my favourite, but SO many close seconds! Once again, Bravo, Devour!!
