Penang International Airport Plaza Premium Lounge

Not really sure but I think this is the only lounge available at Penang international airport. We used this lounge prior to us flying back to Singapore. It was really busy when we visited and we had some issues finding seats in the crowded lounge. Food was ok, nothing worth mentioning except that there was a live cooking station offering curry noodles when I was there.

Food was ok, but barely warm. Wanted a glass of soda or water but none in the fridge but fizzy soft drinks. Bar only offered beer unless you paid.

Compact lounge which appeared to have been recently refurbished. Very busy in the morning, food quality average but good enough if you are hungry. Alcohol must be paid for. Both sinks were out of order which is unacceptable in terms of hygiene.

Was here on 24 July at around 7pm. The food is limited and bad. It is also very unhygiene. Saw a lot of flies around the coffee machine and some came to our food. The plates come with stain. Food fall all over the buffet and no one bother to clear. The guy at the reception walked around without informing ground staff and even took a coke for himself which is meant for lounge guest.

It's always a nice and cozy relaxing lounge while waiting for the plane/travels. Assortment of food, snack and beverages always able to cater and satisfy my picky family.

I am a member of the lounge, so I have visited many lounges before. Even due to lockdown I was surprised that this place was open. Due to the restrictions they now come and serve you at the table rather than you go up and order at the counter or self service which is not a problem. I was particularly impressed with Melvin who was the manager there. He was so polite, charming with a great sense of humour, which is definitely needed in times like this, and totally professional. What a fantastic manager. I just wish all lounges had lovely happy staff like him. I cannot praise him enough.

Hospitality and service was excellent despite being lean on staff strength. Beverages and snacks good quality. A big shout out to Melvin in charge of the lounge.

I am writing to compliment excellent service during my visit in Plaza Premium Lounge (Domestic Departures) in Penang International Airport on August 13. I had a great birthday morning while greeting by a pretty lady Ms. Nur Hanisah and served delicious meal by Chef Shahidi. Thanks to both friendly service and sweet smile cheer my day!

I visited Plaza Premium Lounge in Penang International Airport recently. I had a pleasant experience in the lounge. The staff was friendly, polite, efficient and no fuss. I would to compliment Melvin Kor for his superb service. The food was tasty, I like particularly the chicken rice which has a well balanced flavourful chilli sauce. Well done to the team!

Excellent food and service, Chef Oh, Chef Hafiz and Hao introduction coconut rice and teh tarik very delicious.
