Our small private tour of Pompeii was absolutely incredible! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and never rushed any of us when we had questions! She went above and beyond with taking us around this historical city. Everything was explained thoroughly throughout the entire tour and we left Pompeii with an entirely new perspective of this city and their rich culture. Highly recommend this tour for all!

Leilo was a brilliant guide. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and he cared that you understood how the Romans lived when the eruption of Vesuvius occurred. He was teaching, not just providing information that we could read online. He brought Pompeiin’s lives to life. Well worth booking. Highly recommend.

Skipping the line was SO needed, as the cruise ship tours were plentiful. Our guide was thorough yet well-paced. We learned a great deal and were allowed time on our own as well. We had a great time and highly recommend this tour!

Our archaeologist guide was terrific! We thoroughly enjoyed his narrative. He gets 5 stars.
The instructions on how to meet up with our group gets Viator 3 stars. The directions where to meet the guide were not very clear. The hotel was under renovation, the coffee shop is on the outside of the hotel and is not easily identified. We were the first of 11 people in our group to arrive. I believe others had the same difficulty as we did. We were late starting because of this.

This tour provided us with ear phones which worked perfectly. I booked it on my phone on the way to Pompeii riding the Circumvesuviana. I did NOT want to buy a ticket at the gate or get a guide there. I'm so happy with this company. The one I used for Herculano did Not provide earphones, so it was hard to hear during that tour. Also this guides English was wonderful.

Our guide was excellent! Super informative and entertaining! And the noon time slot was great as there were fewer people than the morning. Highly recommend this tour for learning about the history of Pompeii.

Amazing experience, our tour guide was the best I’ve had in my four months being in Italy. He was very knowledgable and personable. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the ancient city, having a guide is crucial to appreciate its history.

Our guide, Lelo (apologies for a probable misspelling), made the tour better than we could have imagined. He was informative, passionate, and comedic. Visiting the ruin city is amazing but he made it come alive with a wealth of facts you wouldn't be able to discover as a standard visitor. I'll give you an example; the chips of marble in some of the roads were used as safety reflectors when the Romans needed to use them by night.

Lello brought the history alive in a very informative and entertaining way. Without his in-depth knowledge we would have missed so much, he has a story for every stone! He even kept us separated from the “tourists” 😆 Highly recommened.

As per the title, the tour was cancelled with no prior notification. We did not find out until we contacted the support function on the app who were able to contact the tour guide who gave his excuses. Very disappointing and frustrating. We had a panicked 20 minutes trying to locate the tour guide before finding this out as the meeting point is a very busy area with many tours departing and we were scanning and approaching everyone to see if they were our guide. No other people appeared to be waiting for our tour so a cynical person would certainly think that he didn’t bother showing up as he didn’t have enough people sign up that day… We did not find an alternative tour at that late notice and our experience of Pompeii was negatively effected.
