We enjoyed the tour, we are very active people but this package was perfect for our teenager who is not active. It is an easy hike to the first waterfall where people bathe and a hike with a lot of stairs to the Celeste waterfall. The walk on the sloth sanctuary is pretty easy too. I would not recommend this one with small children.

The blue waterfall (Rio Celeste) was absolutely stunning and for us the highlight of the trip. However it was very crowded and we also couldn't go at our own pace as we were on a Tui group trip and that included another location so time was tight. The guide was knowledgable and pointed things out but it would have been nice to see more parts of the jungle at a slower pace to spot more things and seen the other side of it which you could do if not in a group.

The overall experience was extremely enjoyable and we got to see a number of wildlife in addition to the advertised sloths and frogs. The logistics were quite efficient and we never felt hurried or chaotic. The lunch was also quite well handled. One small area of improvement might be in the pre-trip communications. There was an initial email when we signed up, but then nothing until literally the evening before letting us know what our pickup time and location would be. This caused a bit of stress because we weren't sure if they knew even where to pick us up. But in the end, everything worked out very well and we were quite pleased with booking this trip and do recommend it to others.

This was private trip with Manuel as our guide. He arrived on time, and we stopped for a local breakfast, as it was still early. Llanos de Cortes waterfall was our spectacular first stop. Manuel provided us with in-depth local knowledge of Cost Rica. The Rio Celeste hike was extraordinary and Manuel pointed out local wildlife we would never have noticed by ourselves. Lunch was tasty, and we saw many interesting birds at that stop. At the Jungle Life stop we got lucky and saw several sloths, Toucans, and other spectacular frogs and birds. Manuel was kind towards the grandkids and they felt comfortable traveling with him. We highly recommend Manuel, he is an expert.

The experiences were wonderful. The stopping at different gift shops to “transfer” was not so wonderful. I do not like being compelled to shop and like waiting even less.

Saw two amazing waterfalls and could swim in one of them. Should definitely be in good health to walk up steep steps in the heat. Lots of driving in a full van so I would not recommend young children at all... The hiking part would also be a challenge for children. Long day, but worth it seeing things we wouldn't have otherwise.

We did this excursion through Nexus tours. Our Driver was Marvin and our tour guys were Estevan and Emmanuel. The whole crew was amazing. The bus was comfortable, had reclining seats and air-conditioned. Our tour guys are very knowledgeable and informative. They spoke great English. During the hike they made sure the group stayed together. They also helped us take great pictures. The hike to the waterfall had amazing views and it was definitely worth all the steps to get there.
