Oahu's crown, Diamond Head, pops into view presiding over the island known as The Gathering Place.
Pass By: Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, 100 Hanauma Bay Rd, Honolulu, Oahu, HI 96825-2005
As you pass over the ridges of the Leeward coast, Hanauma Bay appears below and gentle beaches transform into rugged volcanic cliffs, carved over millennia by sun, surf, and rain.

The pilot guides your helicopter into the pristine forest and jagged cliffs of the magnificent Ka'a'awa Valley. As the mountains approach, you fly in close to see the magnificent waters of Sacred Falls tumble over 1000 feet to the rainforest below.

Check out the world famous North Shore where you can see the surfers challenge the waves at Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay.

You head back towards the airport with a passage over the mountains and the island's inland sea - Dole Plantation's "Pineapple Sea".

You complete the circle of Oahu by turning inland and passing over the beautiful pineapple maze at the Dole Plantation. This incredible tour doesn't end until you have completed a solemn pass over Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.

Safety of flight is our primary concern. The operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or appear to be intoxicated. Intoxicated passengers will not fly and they will be charged in full.
Wheelchair accessible
For doors off tours, jackets and/or sweatshirts, closed toe shoes, and hair ties are required. Long pants are recommended.
When booking the doors off experience, your seat may or may not be directly adjacent to an open door.
Stroller accessible
Only passengers weighing 80 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Robinson R44 helicopter. Only passengers weighing 100 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Airbus Astar helicopter.
All passengers 24 months and older must purchase a full fare seat.
For each guest weighing 260 pounds or more, a weight and balance fee is required to safely balance the aircraft. For guests weighing between 260-279 lbs, a fee in the amount of 50% of the seat price will be assessed after booking. For guests weighing 280 lbs or higher, an additional seat purchase will be assessed after booking.
Infants must sit on laps

The pre-flight info said with doors off we may not be next to the outside spot. I get it due to weight distribution, but I was kind of disappointed to hear that. But it turned out the opposite and was AWESOME! My adult son and I were both on an open door spot and basically had a private flight with just the pilot, Freddy, who was informative and friendly. Views were great, he answered all of our questions, handled the brief rain and wind with ease. It's a little daunting with the doors off but gave great views and I was so glad I took the chance. They also took us up before our scheduled time as we arrived a bit early which really helped open up our schedule for the rest of the day. Very fun tour, I'd recommend!

Our pilot tour guide was excellent. He was informative of what we were seeing. He explained any turbulence that might occur. We felt safe during the tour with the doors off. There is a safety briefing video before hand that was helpful and reassuring. There is a whole team of people that prepare you for the trip ensuring all safety measures are taken. The pilot also does a final safety check. We had excellent service on this excursion. The pilot was friendly. The other grounds crew (unsure exact title) offered to take pictures of us in front of the helicopter. Absolutely amazing experience. 100% recommend the doors off tour. Got amazing pictures. The whole thing is recorded in the cabin and outside, then you have a chance to purchase it at the end which was awesome.

The pilot have a good knowledge and explained every single part of the trip, it was so beautiful to see Oahu from the sky! We loved this trip. We highly recommend.

We took a morning flight in the helicopter. It was such a great time! Our pilot was so knowledgeable of the island. He made sure to point our areas of interest and made sure everyone was able to get a good view. Seeing Oahu from the air was amazing. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Helicopters for a great experience.

Freddy was a wonderful pilot, especially with someone who is afraid of heights and was scared. The 60 min ride was great. We went all around Oahu.

I highly recommend this experience it was the best tour we have ever had,
Josh our pilot was very professional and knowledgeable about the island. We viewed a waterfall only accessible by air. The flight was stable and smooth we had both doors on in front and off in back it's great either way not cold at all
We will definitely do it again Mahalo Rainbow helicopters
