Most travelers can participate

It is difficult to anticipate when La Sagrada Familia will be crowded. Typically, major attractions experience long queues during peak travel periods such as summer, weekends, Christmas, Easter, and local holidays. By purchasing a skip-the-line ticket, you can bypass the queue if there happens to be one. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict specific days and times when lines are likely to form.

To ensure safety, all visitors are required to pass through metal detectors at the security checkpoint. Please anticipate a wait time of approximately 20-30 minutes to clear security.

In order to enter the Sagrada Familia Basilica, visitors are expected to dress appropriately as it is a Catholic church. Tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts, or sandals are not permitted. Additionally, visitors are not permitted to enter the church wearing clothing intended for celebrations or festivities.

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers

Confirmation will be received at time of booking

After approaching through the busy Barcelona streets, the Sagrada Familia is an epic undertaking well worth a visit. To sit in the surrounding area and just look is time consuming as there is so much to take in, and the inside is nothing short of breath taking. How Gaudi thought up all of this is testament to human creativity. But....the rest of the world wants to experience this too so its BUSY, full of queues, street vendors on the ground (literally) and tour groups everywhere. This trip was in May so heaven help visitors in the height of summer with limited shade and the park area full too. Yes the actual building is well worth the effort and pre booking tickets is absolutely essential. Then theres the necessary security to get in and the fight with tour group headsets to enable any hearing of your guides words as a good number don't seem charged. Our tour guide was good with some interesting facts but it was frustrating to deal with a generally over subscribed situation with far too many people everywhere. So easy to lose the guide in the mayhem. So, pre book and go on a tour if you want to benefit from words of wisdom but be prepared for a scrum. It was easy to book with a reputable company offering tickets and the guide will work hard getting access, giving out basic information and dealing with headsets, gathering the group in the melee, and moving the group through the building. Tourist money is funding the build which is still ongoing. Such a shame that it's over full of visitors with so many tour groups to cover demand. There were 30 in our group so that's a lot to herd around. So I can't give 5 stars as the experience as far as tour groups were concerned was hurried, and we had to keep to time because of the relentless number of groups allowed to enter.

Our guide spoke excellent English and he knew the history and told us the story of the Sagrada Familia as if we were there when it was being built.

The ad says it's a 1.5 hour tour. The actual tour is one hour, plus 30 minuets waiting in line. The tour guide is mediocre. An audio tour would be better in crowds.

This was a mental explosion, once inside. Seeing this beautiful chapel - a work in progress - is simply stunning. Tour was as well handled as it could be in such a crowded tourist spot, earphone communication was spotty at times, but what did come through simply made the visit even better. Our guide really knew her stuff - highly professional and a joy to follow around. Take her advice, stick around after the tour and explore slowly.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was willing to answer questions. I gave a 4/5 due to the sound equipment not being good. It was somewhat difficult to understand her, not her fault.
