Itinerary
Booking 1 adult equals 1 private boat. Once we leave the dock we will raise the sails and sail to a destination in eastern Moreton Bay. This takes about two to three hours, depending on destination and start time, aiming to arrive around 11am. This is an immersive sailing experience. Do as little or as much as you want under the care of our RYA Yacht Master Offshore certified skippers.
Wildlife you may see include dolphins, sea turtles, dugongs, ospreys and sea life.
Once we arrive, we will drop anchor and lower the swimming platform. We have towels, snorkels and goggles onboard. Enjoy a swim and/or a snorkel before lunch.
Lunch is BYO. The yacht has two fridges to store your drinks and food. Enjoy lunch around the shaded cockpit table (8-10 people) or dine downstairs in the saloon dining area (8 people).
After lunch, go ashore in the dinghy. On-shore facilities and activities include beach shelter, beach cricket, frisbee and soccer.
We will then sail home and disembark in Manly.
As this is a private charter we can adapt the destination and the itinerary. This is an 8-hour charter. We also offer a 10-hour charter for Tangalooma Wrecks or Lucinda Bay both on Moreton Island.

The sailing trip with Greg on his Curlew was just fabulous, we had a great time. We motored into the bay, enjoyed snorkeling and swimming and then, after a tasty lunch, sailed the rest of the day. With a wonderful wind (20 knots) we were able to let the beautiful boat "fly" through the water. Many other providers (not just here) only operate under motor power. Not with Greg, he is passionate and super experienced sailor.
The boat is in fantastic shape, clean and well maintained. From our point of view, you can comfortably spend the day on it with up to 10 people. Greg is very nice and easy to talk to. He asked us a week before the trip to get on the boat a day earlier because the weather would be much better then. He truly wanted us to have a fabulous day and we did. Thank you!

We had a fabulous time out on the beautiful boat. Greg the skipper did an amazing job, we had a little race sailing on the way to the island and a gentle sail on the way back. We had a group of 11 people and everyone of us enjoyed the trip.

Beautiful boat and a great skipper. We had a wonderful out on the bay all the way to Moreton Island. Very comfortable and joyful with the wind in the sails. The boat felt very safe, even when the bay got a bit choppy. Really easy to help with the sailing too and lots of fun for all involved.

Greg was an amazing host. He was easy to talk to and got us all involved with sailing the yacht and teaching us the terms and safety. The trip exceeded our expectations and got the full scenic experiencing on and off the boat. We will definitely be returning!! :)

As a charter skipper and charter business owner Curlew Escape is one of my favourite yachts to run charters on. The presentation is always immaculate and the owners go to great lengths to make sure everything is working perfectly and guests have a great experience. She also sails beautifully and everyone gets a buzz from sailing on her! Highly recommended!
