Had a great time! It was a pretty zoo! Would go again. Not sure what else to say, but the algorithm is not letting me move on. So I will write a few sentences in hopes that I can move on.

The zoo was great. Parking is free. However, the safari was very disappointing. Their advertised features cost A LOT more above the park entry cost. For example, they charge an additional $115 for the safari excursion. Absolutely ridiculous and not worth the money. Be prepared to spend more if you want to do anything there. Parking is $20.

Incredible family trip! We were able to go to the zoo one day and the safari park the next! We spent about 6 hours at the zoo and 5 hours at the safari park. Food was way better than we expected for “zoo food”. Definitely recommend getting to the parks as soon as they open to beat the crowds but also to see the animals when they are most active. Our 15 month old was able to nap in the stroller at both locations although the safari park was definitely less crowded so she napped much better. At the safari park, make the Africa tram one of the first things you do as we saw the wait time climb up to 60 minutes throughout the day. And bring your walking shoes! Over 15,000 steps both days! Overall a great experience.

The Zoo and Safari Park are both must sees... I have trouble walking so relied on the Zoo Transit to get around... the hop on and off is great to be able to see the different areas of the zoo for those of us who just couldn't walk it all... I was still able to see everything I wanted to... This is a second trip to both and will be back...

So wonderful! Very well maintained, lots of care for the animals evident in the design of the facility. You could easily spend two days here, and even with a fast pace would struggle to see it all! Definitely worth a second (or third!) visit.

The San Diego zoo was amazing! Fun. Lots of animals and good healthy walking. Even with a little rain we had a blast. Went to Safari park next day..and was not as impressed. Firstly, it's 30 miles away from San Diego..so it was a $65 Uber ride to and from. Not as many animals..the few we did see we saw up close and personal at the zoo. I'd recommend the zoo..the Safari park not so much.

The Safari Park and Zoo are really good. We attempted to do both in one day, don't do that. Just do one park per day. Unfortunately, some of the animals we wanted to visit had other plans and were unavailable or unobservable. Such is the case when dealing with wildlife. The park is well kept but is very costly, so be prepared to spend money or have food and drinks prepared.
