Enjoy the view and take the famous picture of the Blue dome church with the volcano in the background, the one has been depicted in so many images of the island. It’s now time to visit one of our favorite spots and hidden gems of the island.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Akrotiri, Akrotiri, Santorini, Cyclades, South Aegean

Continue to the south part of the island and the lighthouse of Akrotiri, one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece built in 1892. This is the perfect spot to relish the endless blue of the Aegean sea.

Stop At: Red Beach, Akrotiri Greece

One of the most unique beaches you have ever seen is also located in the south part of the island. The Red Beach is surely a place that you don’t want to miss while you are here. Take some pictures of this unique beach and admire the volcanic landscape.

Schedule Details

Departure Dates:

See Availability.

Departure Point:

Traveler pickup is offered
Pick up and drop off from/to any desired point of your preference.
Tour times are approximate and may vary during the season.
Passengers arriving by cruise ship will be met at the exit of the cable car on top (Fira). Please look for a sign with your name when you exit the upper station.

Further information for passengers arriving by cruise ship:
Your cruise ship will dock near the old port of Fira and you will be transferred there by tender boat.
Once you get to the old port, you will use the cable car to get to the top (Fira).
In case there are many cruise ships docked at the same time, there might be a big waiting line at the cable car. We recommend taking one of the first tender boats so you don't have to wait too long at the cable car station.
Getting from the cruise ship to the meeting point usually takes about an hour or more due to a big line at the cable car being formed. We recommend setting our meeting time one to two hours after the scheduled arrival of your cruise ship.

My daughter and I were so lucky to get George as our guide for the private Instagram tour!! He treated us like family all day and was so excited for us and enthusiastic to show us around his island. We had the perfect day and talked about George for the rest of our trip. This tour is the best way to see Santorini in a day!! We can’t wait to go back!

It was amazing! We booked last minute and our driver was on time and so nice. He took us to the best spots for views and photos. He even took our photos for us which he might need to be a professional photographer because they turned out so great.

Ares was a fantastic guide. Despite having scheduled this on a day that turned out to have tornadic winds, Ares and George drove us to great spots for beautiful views and pictures, including several "off the path" points in Oia. We learned a lot from Ares about the history of life on Santorini and the greek isles. He not only took us to photogenic spots, he also explained agriculture (wine growing, wheat milling) and the living nature of the volcanic islands as we drove from place to place. Finally, he had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!!
