The tour guide is absolutely fantastic. This is not a half day excursion though, it’s a full 8 hours. It’s super exciting (no boring cultural monologues) and you get to see the market, visit a church, make cigars, talk to locals, etc. 10/10 recommend but plan to be out all day

Excellent cultural tour, so many things to see and do. Robinson, tour guide, made it so much fun. Delicious food. Wonderful experience for our family. Tour was 7 hours from pick up to drop off from our resort in Cap Cana. Air conditioned van was much appreciated.

Giving this review an extra star because we had an air conditioned vehicle. If you like a tour that is truly half a day, look for something else, especially if you’re staying in Cap Cana. From Cap Cana, plan in a 9-9 1/2 hour day of being away from your resort. Duration was 6 hours from the time we got to our first stop for horseback riding to leaving Macao Beach. If you love rough roads and bad drivers, this tour is for you. If you have back problems, look for another tour. They take you into a small town outside of Punta Cana to view the true culture of the DR. Definitely makes you appreciate what you have at home. When Robinson spent time with us in the AC vehicle vs the open air transport, it was great, he explained the sites and answered questions whereas our driver only spoke Spanish and ignored all questions.

It was a nice tour. Hoped on a horse and was able to ride it around the camp site. Wish we had more time to spend at the basílica we were in and out of the church in like 5 minutes. We had to ask if there was a shop to buy candles and trinkets. Which we did but were in a bit of a rush cause everyone else got right on the bus after walking out the church... One of the stops we made at a restaurant had amazing authentic food definitely worth it. The cigar shop was another quick stop but they had a better souvenir shop. Wish they let us walk around the place more at least to have a drink since there was a bar. I think we were all done and tired by the last stop to the Macao Beach. It was nice but a bit packed and compact lol if you go you'll know what I mean. Overall it was a nice excursion.

Excursion guide was awesome! He was friendly, funny, engaging and very knowledgeable. Excursion visits local businesses and people which was awesome. Loved getting off the resort and really seeing what the DR has to offer. Gorgeous views in the hillside plantations and beautiful Bavaro Beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip! Robinson, our
guide was funny, friendly & knowledgeable. His
love for music was a special treat. Our driver, Jesůs
was extremely experienced. From the basilica, the
cocoa/coffee farm, the cigar factory, the authentic
Dominican lunch to Macao Beach, it all was
wonderful. We highly recommend it.
And, the family of 14 from Texas on the tour with
us made the bus ride even more fun. No "Mickey Mouse" 😁

Brilliant day with fantastic tour guide, Darwin. We loved seeing the real Dominican Republic, the beautiful country and amazing people and culture. We found it really interesting from beginning to end and our particular highlights were the hustle and bustle of the market and lunch (the river was stunning and the food was delicious). Thank you Darwin for an unforgettable day.

Had a great time on this cultural tour with our driver Sandy and guide Robinson! He seemed very knowledgeable and was giving us tid bits of information throughout the tour, it was nice to get away from the touristy areas and see how the locals live and work. The truck ride was a bit bumpy & very windy but besides that it was a great time!!
