Pass By: Lysefjord, Stavanger Norway

I am sure one of the reasons you have booked your cruise was to experience all the Norwegian fjords has to offer.  Let Stavanger be one of the highlights of your cruise.

The fjords were created by glaciers. In the Earth's last ice age, glaciers covered just about everything.

The Lysefjord and the Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) are some of the most impressive sights you will enjoy on the tour. The tour really shows off the natural nature at its best.

You will meet your professional guide with an easy 5 minute walk from the cruise pier, the boat offers a sundeck as well as a kiosk.  One of the first memorable sights will be the mysterious Vagabond's Cave, a gorgeous cove where dramatic cliffs surround an aqua-marine pool. As legend has it, the cave was named after a group of vagabonds who hid in the shelter for months trying to escape police.

Pass By: Pulpit Rock, 4129 Norway

We then head to the famous Pulpit Rock this is a natural rock formation consisting of a steep cliff, rising 1981 feet above Lysefjorden, opposite the Kjerag plateau, with an almost flat top of approximately 80 meters. Also on this exhilarating tour of memorable Lysefjord with its towering waterfalls, idyllic islands, and breathtaking scenery, you'll visit goats at summer pasture and taste clear mountain water from the Hengjane falls.

Book early as this tour books up quickly each time a cruise ship is in port.  This popular tour guarantees to get you back to the ship in time and we know it will leave great memories of your day.

An amazing experience!!! Boat was on time, very clean and spacious with a snack and beverage bar on board. The views were incredible, the crew really took their time to show you all of the sights. Definitely more of a slow paced boat cruise, so if you want something relaxing to see all the views, check this out!

Nice 3+ hour boat ride on a cruise with plenty of viewing seats and vantage points. Went on a rainy day so we only saw the outline of Pulpit rock through the fog. Lots of interesting prerecorded facts at multiple points throughout the trip in English (and I think Norwegian). Cafe on board serves pastries, waffles, soda, beer, etc., for purchase. 3-level decks for great photo opportunities.

Having booked several excursions with Viator in the past, 6 senior travelers booked this tour($811). The evening before our stop at Stavanger, the ships captain announced that we could not go to Stavanger because of bad weather. When we could finally contact Viator, they refused a refund. They claimed that the company they partnered with decided if a refund was possible. WARNING: Do not book excursions with Viator if you are on a cruise. The partner company is "myholidaysonline". Our research shows that "My Holidays on Line" is a big scam!!!! In our opinions Viator must break all ties with "myholidaysonline". We recommend that Viator work with their costumers on refunds for services not provided.

None, we were forced to cancel, as our ship was unable to dock, due to extreme weather conditions. But Viator declined giving a refund

The scenery and Norwegian fjords. The waterfalls were beautiful and the cave was very interesting. However, it was disappointing that Viator charged double what getyourguide did for the exact tour. We had 3 couple friends that booked after us and paid $67 and we paid $130. I will not blindly trust Viator again.
