On May 16th, 2024, my husband, teen son, his girlfriend, and I participated in an excursion. We arrived by cruise ship, a 10-15 minute walk from the port to the check-in office. Our appointment was at 10:30 am, and we arrived at the office around 10:20. After checking in, receiving wristbands and signing waivers, we waited in the seating area for another 5-10 minutes before starting the excursion. Captains Cam and Chris were incredibly helpful and friendly. The boat ride was enjoyable and, upon arriving at Pigs Island, the real fun began. The pigs were hilarious and adorable; we had a blast feeding and petting them. (Btw it’s important to note that wearing water shoes is highly recommended due to the sharp and rough rocks in the water). After taking photos and videos, another boat arrived carrying approximately 20-30 people. I was sooo relieved that we had finished our activities before their arrival. Fast forward to the end of the trip, as we were walking back to the cruise ship, my son dropped a scary bombshell: "Where is my phone, Mom?!" Panicked, I immediately called the office. Turns out, he left his phone at the pigs island!! Thankfully, they were able to retrieve his phone and bring it back to the office. A huge thank you to the staff for their assistance! You guys are awesome!

The tour was PERFECT!!! Everyone was so friendly and told us about all the mansions we saw and their owners on the way to pig island. The rum punch was amazing, the staff was super fun and the Jet boat was awesome! My son loved going fast and getting splashed! We were on pig island for 1hr and got to play with the piggies the whole time! THANK YOU for such a memorable time!!! highly recommend this tour! :)

We had a hard time finding the meeting place at first but called the number on the reservation and they told me how to get to their main office. We missed our scheduled tour because of that but they were awesome and sent us out on a smaller more private tour with one other couple. It was a great experience and everyone was super nice and accommodating. While we waited for our turn they had us wait in their nice air conditioned office with free wi-fi and free rum punch. I highly recommend this tour with this company. The pigs are very friendly and we even were able to hold a little baby one named Sophia. The water was amazing and the snorkeling was pretty good too.

super great deal for the price! my friend and i were on a budget, and if you don’t care about the glitz and glam this is one of the better deals for how pricey this particular excursion can be. we got just enough time at the pig beach and the employees there were nice. definitely worth getting the food for them, and be careful and ask for help when picking the small ones up, don’t harass them! beautiful beach to swim in also, and the snorkeling afterwards was nice, but don’t let it be your only snorkel excursion in general because it was short and sweet. if you can swim well, ask for your life jacket to be tied to your arm instead, and keep hold of it. it was very uncomfy around the neck. and make sure you ask about the snacks, they forgot to mention that they had them to us, so make sure to ask for them. the rum punch was good, but in the hot sun it’s better to opt for water. nice all around, great for first timers.

It was an amazing excursion and such a reasonable price. They took us by Atlantis then to the pigs with plenty of time to feed and play with them. The pigs were super cute and it was really nice there! A little crowded but not too bad. The water was super clear too. The boat was super nice and we went snorkeling somewhere too which was super nice. The employees were all super kind and helpful and overall it was a great experience!

You can absolutely have a 5-star time and my most negative points are mostly personal. The pros: -The meeting point is in an office located in a strip mall. They have free light refreshments in the office and on the beach. -The staff are all really nice, make sure you’re always hydrated, and apologetic about being late. -The drivers really went at full speed which was really fun but scary for the people at the front of the boat. Honestly the boat ride there was the best part, and it felt new or upkept and completely safe. Pigs are very cute. They release about 10 of them but there’s many more in the pen, including piglets. It will be easy getting photos. They are all female and non-aggressive. They tripled checked with the staff that it was too windy to go snorkeling. I actually appreciate that they make these judgments for people’s safety. Instead, we spend 1.5 hr on piggies. You get a cup of 10ish pieces to feed them. Yes it can be crowded but just be smart and wait. The cons: -The beach is really small, and you can’t really do anything but feed the pigs or lounge in a chair. -The pigs are constantly peeing, and they seemed trained to do so in the water. So, so many people, unaware, washing their hands in the poo. There’s no place on the island safe from their diarrhea. -Water isn’t swimmable. You can but it’s very rocky and with high winds you can get injured easily. -20 mins late to start. Exactly 1.5 hrs with pigs. And 30 mins for the trip back -The “tour” is just listing a bunch of rich people houses. -Without snorkeling, not a very good value for money. You could technically snorkel on the island but you likely wont find anything. -When we left we got on the boat first and sat in the middle where we did last time, making sure we didn’t end up on the tip of the boat but we had 5 extra stowaways so the boat was “unbalanced”. The guides didn’t remember who were the extras - I could’ve rattled them out but I didn’t - and instead I was punished for some reason and had to swap with the stowaways and sit at the tip. Not. Happy. -Of course they don’t tell you until you leave the island that no one lives there because there’s bodies buried there. It further irritated me that I proceeded to answer their trivia questions but they couldn’t hear me and the stowaways took credit for my answers. Some of their facts are wrong, and they dare tell another lady she was wrong too. It just ended on a bad, bitter taste. If you have a choice, don’t choose Athol Island.

They ran out of snorkel gear so my husband and others didn’t get to experience the snorkeling portion or even get into the water for that matter. Snorkeling trip was too short. By the time they got everyone in the water, they were already telling people to get back out.
