It was an amazing experience. There was no wifi so we were completely off the grid for a few days but well worth the experience!

Totally enjoyed my Amazon experience with Abel and Carlos from Palotoa. We did Manu before and on this occasion decided to visit Tambopata and the experience was second to none. Truly authentic from start to finish. These were the four best days of our trip in Peru.

Unbelievable way to experience the Amazon Rainforest. Felt fully immersed in the wildlife. The guides were all excellent, especially Andreas. They provided great depth in knowledge of everything. You could ask any question and would get a great answer.
The activities were full on but great. Monkey island, Sandoval Lake, and the Canopy walking tour were the highlights. We were lucky to even see the Giant River Otter! We saw so much wildlife and it felt like a great adventure.
The food was amazing as well and the accommodation was comfortable.
Overall, great staff and an unforgettable experience.

The guides were great and activities were as described and we enjoyed them especially clay licks, sunset and night boat ride and piranha fishing. Charlie is very nice. The lodge was very basic and if I go back I would book my own accommodation and arrange only the tours with Charlie to have control over where we stay. There was no hot water in the lodge, no shampoo/conditioner and of course no dryer and hardly any space there to put anything. The rooms were open with nets but there was no proper curtains so privacy is almost none existent. It will be nice if they have full curtains that can be open and closed as desired. Especially for the bathrooms in ground level. The food was good but you have to wait for the meals to be prepared and the time can be 30mins to one hour give and take. They have drinking water, hot water thermos for coffee. They have instant coffee and a few tea bags (I really just wanted black tea as that’s what I drink in the morning but they didn’t have it). The insulation was none existent so upstairs is better. If you are downstairs you can hear any foot steps from the room above you. The bed was hard. So I’m summary it’s just a very basic room like in a back packer hostel.
