We purchased thru Viator vs Museum directly because it allowed us to make changes/cancel if needed. It was a very easy process, the only thing was when I was picking my day and time it made me to pick the movie time for both Beyond All Boundaries, and the Freedom Theatre experience. It turned out that the Freedom Theatre was not included in the package, it was puzzling, I double checked at the ticket counter and they had not idea and said my tickets did not have that included.

Pearl Harbor, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, it was all great. My Dad was in the 8th Air Force and flew 3 missions over D-Day. The images from that time brought back many memories. My family had at least 10 that participated in the War, and l luckily all returned safely.

We first visited the museum when it was newly opened. What a contrast with our recent visit. To take in all the exhibits would easily take a full day, maybe more. World War Two is explained in exacting detail with artifacts, dioramas, testimonials and multimedia presentations. A sober and somber depiction of the Greatest Generation and a nation that mobilized every segment and population to free the world from tyranny. The Museum continues to grow and expand. We are already looking forward to visiting again.

This museum is a must but don’t sell yourself short; allow 5-6 hours to do it justice if you’ve included the 4D film experience narrated by Tom Hanks.
I was particularly impressed how the museum set the scene for US involvement in WW2, explained both the European and Pacific theatres and finally summarised the post war era.
The Holocaust was dealt with great dignity as were topics around the mobilisation of a women’s industrial workforce, the role of priests and the care of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and their loved ones.
As an Australian visitor I would have liked greater mention of the huge integration of British and Commonwealth forces with those of the USA. The bombing of Darwin just after Pearl Harbour, Kokoda, US forces in northern Australia, the Battle of the Coal Sea, Singapore, Burma, all deserved greater bipartisan recognition.
Overall the museum was well laid out with strategic seating to view videos but would have benefited from better signage.

This was my third time at the museum. My husband and son had never been, and I wanted my son especially to see it since my father was a WWII veteran. There were three exhibits we didn't get to see because so much has been added since my last time there (8 years ago). But we did get to see the ones I wanted my family to see. It is an amazing and awesome tribute to those who gave their time and their lives to preserve our freedom. If you go, please make sure you can spend at least one day, preferably two, in order to see everything.

The museum is so well done and there is soooo much history and information. It would take days to do it justice, but we enjoyed the hours we spent there. It is a sobering place that instills a lot of thought.

An incredible experience. Everyone should visit. Be sure to also see the movie. It was a good reminder of what our country/soldiers sacrificed.

This museum is definitely for someone who is a military history lover as it goes over each and every battle that the US fought in WWII. I love history but it was just a bit too much and a little repetitive. I also didn't like the way that the museum was laid out. They had volunteers everywhere because it was easy to get lost. I felt that the D-Day exhibit should have been with the Road to Berlin exhibit but they were in completely different buildings.
That said, the 4D film, "Beyond All Boundaries" was amazing. It was about 45 minutes long and gave a solid overview of the war, from the home front to both the war in Europe and the war in the Pacific.
It's not a cheap visit so I only recommend it for really big military history fans.
