Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown New Zealand

Return Cruise on Lake Wakatipu on the steamship TSS Earnslaw from Queenstown to Walter Peak. Stop at Walter Peak for lunch and a sheep shearing demonstration.

Stop At: Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant, Walter Peak 9793, New Zealand

Enjoy a quintessential Kiwi experience – a delicious gourmet BBQ lunch and a farm demo in a stunning lakeside setting.

Your lunch starts with a cruise aboard the historic TSS Earnslaw across to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Once there, you can sit back on the lakeside terrace of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant and savor the delicious aromas as our chef has the best of local produce, sizzling away on the grill.

Our lunch menu has been refreshed with the introduction of our new executive chef, so you'll have a plenty to choose from our seasonal menu - salads, vegetables, succulent meat cooked on the outdoor rotisserie or grill. If you’re vegetarian, don’t worry, you are well catered for too. Then finish your meal with a scrumptious dessert.

After your lunch, you can join an entertaining farm demonstration or explore the beautiful lakeside gardens.

Please note: The TSS Earnslaw will be on survey 02 June – 15 July 2018 and the TSS Earnslaw will NOT be operating. During this period travel to and from Walter Peak is by launch and the lower price reflects this change.

Loved our trip on TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak for lunch. Food was amazing and the setting stunning. The farm show sheep shearing and gathering was very informative. We picked a perfect day. Its a photographers paradise. The trip back including a pianist was entertaining. One of the passengers from Sydney even had a chance to play the piano and sing. A great day out.

So glad we did this activity in Queenstown. A scenic cruise on the Earnslaw was interesting in itself. To see the workings of the old steamship was great and the boat itself allowed plenty of sightseeing on the way. The farm house building and surrounding gardens close to the jetty were absolutely beautiful and the bbq lunch amazing. Everything was delicious, it was well organised and there was plenty of food. Drinks were reasonably priced. The sheep shearing demo was interesting and also well done.

Very well organised, fast accommodating the ships passengers to a well presented buffet bbq lunch. We added the farm experience and that was a good display of a working sheep dog under commands. Totally worth doing.

My husband, son and myself had the best day. The cruise was beautiful with such a gorgeous day, prompt and friendly staff to greet us for our absolutely delicious lunch. Followed by a Farm Tour and look through the souvenir shop before reboarding and returning to Queenstown.

The cruise was very interesting although we could not hear the commentary as the only seating was outside. The lunch was very nice. All staff were friendly and helpful
