Arenal Rafting’s Class IV adrenaline-packed white water rafting adventure is a thrilling rafting experience within the Costa Rican rainforest. For those in good physical condition, we’ll take you for a 15-kilometer ride down the river you won’t forget anytime soon! Stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit. After white water rafting, we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch.
Daily tours leave at 9:00 am from La Fortuna for our Class IV White Water Rafting Adventure and include roundtrip transportation from local La Fortuna hotels, all equipment, guides, fruit on the river, towels & local lunch.
This tour is appropriate for anyone 12 years and older.

Traveler pickup is offered
-Bring comfortable clothes to get wet and paddle, secure shoes for rafting (closed toed shoes are safer, flip flops or crocs are NOT RECOMMENDED), bring also changing clothes.
-Make sure you show up at the reception of your hotel or pick up place at the right time. Guides and drivers only wait a maximun of 5 minutes after the pick up time. If you are not sure about your PICK UP TIME call or send a whatsapp message to +506 89342626.
Please Note: "Pick up time" refers to the time we pick you up at the hotel, "Start Time" refers the time when the tour starts.
Pick up service is included ONLY for hotels located 5 km around La Fortuna Central Park. We DO NOT offer pick service on Airbnb, however you can drive or take a taxi to our main office in La Fortuna, where we offer safe parking and more facilities.

We had such a great time and the team of guides are so much fun and informative! They definitely keep up the fun, laidback attitude on the river. We all felt super safe with them and we had a blast making great memories! The fruit and food was delicious and they definitely hook you up on this experience. I would recommend them to anyone any day!

This was an experience of a lifetime. Carlos Rosales was such a great guide, funny, knowledgeable of the river and the animals in the jungle. They had a huge buffet of fruit all the guides chopped up for us half way through and lunch was delicious. The guides serve you and you can tell they enjoy their job.

It was a great ride with an experienced, fun guide who did multiple Olympic-worthy flips off raft. Pointed out various wildlife slong our ride. Lots of fun!

Amazing scenery on the river, with sightings of sloths, beautiful birds and huge Iguana. We were guided by our fearless leader Jason (aka Water Sloth). Delicious fruit break and lunch served to conclude our trip. #1 River group!!

Aaron was an amazing tour guide. He made sure we were all safe and comfortable rafting while also making sure we got plenty of adrenaline rushes and laughs. Highly recommend the tour the drive was quick and the lunch after was basic but filling and delicious. Everyone in the company spoke some English and all of them were friendly.

Our guide, Juan Rosales, was amazing!! Due to lack of rain recently, water levels were a little low which slowed the flow of the current but he did everything possible to give us a wild ride! The tour started at the meeting point (if you need water shoes this is where you get them) and then took us to a local souvenir shop on the route to allow people to buy things to the trip if necessary (we bought sunglasses holder lanyard things, waterproof case, and a delicious passion fruit juice along with 2 souvenirs) and use the restroom before we arrived to the raft launch point. Midway there was a stop to eat fresh fruit (rafts all travel in a a group) with the other guides/people. Throughout there are people snapping pictures on the banks (guides in kayaks that race ahead) for purchase at the end. We split the cost of photos with the others in our boat, which was $46 total paid with card ($40 if cash). Finally, TIP YOUR GUIDE for a job well done - Juan was fantastic, highly recommend this tour!
