Riding on the Clipper kicked off a great weekend visiting friends on Vancouver Island. The staff was friendly, the view spectacular, and the ride smooth. For anyone coming from Seattle, the Clipper is an affordable, stress-free way to get away for a long weekend. Highly recommend!

Well organized, comfortable and scenic trip from Seattle to Victoria. We were in the Vista section on the upper level. We would travel by boat to Victoria again!

This was our second experience taking the ferry from Victoria to Seattle and was totally different from the first time. The boarding process was chaotic. There were very long lines to check luggage and get boarding passes. Then we were all herded into a large room with not enough seats to wait for the ship to arrive (it was an hour late). We finally were allowed to wait outside standing in line where at least there was fresh air to breathe. Once we boarded there was again long lines to purchase lunch. The ride was smooth and the captain did make up some time. When we arrived in Seattle again we were in long lines waiting to get our luggage which was sitting out in a room for anyone to take (no one checking IDs). We were told they were short staffed BUT they need to space the schedule out so avoid these long waits.

They were really nice and the ship was clean but it's a long ride and if you're prone to be sea sick it's a REALLY long ride. We upgraded to the nicer seats which helped. We didn't get to see any cool whales.

Faultless service and helpful staff. For tourists it was as easy as it could be and I will happily recommend you to people back in NZ coming this way.

Haven’t actually taken the trio yet but communication whilst trying to book ahead was totally unprofessional . I had specific queries the answers to which 4 times came back as a generic reply . Never told be the replies about the accommodation package as I had answered . So finally after about 6 emails I got an email THST went into junk but by that time I had to let our tour group know if we were staying at their hotel or not the night before our tour started . So mixed out on the clipper Ferry / accommodation special Then when I finally did book had to request they send a confirmation and receipt. Perhaps they’ll offer us free luggage transfer for the stuff up ……mmm I wonder ? Hope the trip is better this has been a bucket list for years after studying Tourism in Australia hope it doesn’t disappoint

I went to take the Clipper to a concert in Seattle. The sailing was cancelled due to a mechanical problem 45min before the scheduled sailing, despite the boat being docked for the entire day. This cancellation totally derailed my trip. The Clipper offered to refund the sailing, but not any of the additional costs associated with the trip, such as hotels. However, the Clipper has since failed to provide my refund 3 weeks later. After 5-6 phone calls, 2 phone messages, and 2 emails (no responses to any) I went in person to try and get my refund. I was told that they cannot do refunds in Victoria (despite having an office here) and that my credit card information would be passed on to a supervisor, who will then pass it on to someone in Seattle. They also said it would be a further 7-10 days. To me, this is an unacceptable level of service. When you cancel a sailing last minute a derail a trip, a timely refund is the bare minimum. Receiving no responses to any of my inquiries and having to wait over a month for my refund is very poor.
