The Wachau Valley Wine Tasting Bike Tour was a highlight from our trip to Vienna. It was a great way to get out of the crowds and enjoy the scenery. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was lovely and the food at our lunch spot was delicious! It was a lot of fun getting to know fellow travelers. I would highly recommend this tour when visiting Vienna!

This was by far our best day and tour while visiting Vienna. The Wachau Valley was beautiful! We had the perfect morning biking through the valley. Our guide Miguel was informative and provided us local history and helped make the tour fun for all. The wine in the region was great and lunch superb in the little town we stopped by. The funniest part of our tour was getting caught in the rain, which turned to hail. Thank goodness we were only about 10 minutes outside of the bike rental location… and we didn’t drop any of our wine bottles purchased- lol! Definitely a must do tour if you’re into being outside and biking, exploring amazing landscapes and love a good wine tasting! Enjoy

Tim was very accommodating and full of knowledge. We learned so much! This is more than a wine tour. Not to mention the sights and wine were more then I ever thought:) the biking is very mild and easy to do.

Great biking-wine tour through Wachau Valley Wine Region. The tour started in Vienna at a bike shop, then we went by train to the sister bike shop in Krems. Proceed by bike to several wineries to taste wines and also local liquors/schnapps/brandies. Total amount biked was approximately 17 miles (27 km) total (8.5 miles down, and 8.5 miles back). Big pours on the wine - one of the best tours we have ever been on. Suggestion: trying starting in Krems if you are in the area, saves about an hour on the train.

This was one of the most favorite travel things I’ve ever done! The wine in the area is fantastic and you are biking in such a beautiful area of country with the prettiest quaint villages. THe group size was perfect for the tour and our guide did an excellent job getting us together and allowing everyone to enjoy the biking. The quality of the bikes were surprisingly good. The were lightweight, responsive and fun to bike. I made some great friends on the bike ride as welll! The biking was never that difficult, mostly flat terrain. It took the whole day mostly but all i wanted to do was spend more time in the valley! There is some great history in the area as well that the guide was helpful to provide. Again, one of my favorite experiences and a beautiful convenient way to get our of Vienna and enjoy some beautiful countryside only a short distance away!

Tim was absolutely excellent! Even though there was the threat of rain, Tim still was ok with us wanting to keep our original travel date. The tour ended up being Tim, my husband, and me. Tim had taken the time to meet the locals, especially the winery owners, and is clearly on good terms with all of them. He knows the area, the wines in the area, and a lot about the history of the area. We were able to meet one of the owners - Max. His wines are absolutely delicious and well-worth the visit!! Hearing his family’s story and his own story made our trip even more personable and memorable. We highly recommend this tour. If any of the other guides are half as good as Tim, you will greatly enjoy your time!

My wife and I had an amazing time biking through the gorgeous Wachau valley region. Our group was small, only 7 people in total, and our guide, Tomas, was incredibly kind, funny, and informative as we made our journey. The tour included a visit to just two wineries, but honestly this felt like plenty considering the amount of wine offered at each one, and all of the other sites along the way. Tomas and the winemakers we encountered offered lots of context for the wines we were tasting, which really helped me better appreciate the subtleties in flavor and body imparted by the environment and processing. Definitely bring money for lunch; it was at a traditional Austrian place in a small town on the Danube, and the food was delicious and affordable. Don't worry too much about having enough stamina or bike riding skill, I hadn't ridden a bike in over 5 years and found it very easy going.

Don't miss this biking excursion to the beautiful Wauchau Valley! This was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip to Eastern Europe. The 15 mile bike ride took us through some picturesque, cobble stone towns along the Danube, making a fews stops for wine tasting and lunch. Tim was a great guide, the pace very relaxed, and the scenery dreamy!
