The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history.

It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King.
Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV.

If you decide not to include admission to Windsor Castle, you will have free time in Windsor town.

Fantastic Tour! If you are looking to hit these amazing locations in one day this tour is for you. Do not be late at the pickup location, Victoria Coach Station (Not the Underground or Train Station - we left 3 people behind) This tour is prompt, so stay on schedule. Angela and Michelangelo were great! Angela provided important historical commentary while on the bus, but there is some downtime if you want to get a few zzz's in too. Michelangelo is an amazing bus driver. On our tour we had to make some detours because of closed roadways and Angela and M worked it out perfectly, total pros! Oxford was amazing, Angelas knowledge added to the magic of Oxford. Next up Windsor Castle. We didn't have to wait long to get in, but I really wish we had more time here. We paid our respects to QE2, saw a few other things but had to rush back to the coach. Last up was Stonehenge and of course that did not disappoint, plenty of time there to get your pictures. Bus is comfortable and has USB access and wifi! All in all a great day, thank you so much!
