Los Angeles or LA is one of the most crowded cities in the US State of California. It is the home to over 3.5 million people. It showcases a cosmopolitan society where the majority of its population is either Hispanic or Asian. The major airport is the Los Angeles International Airport, which is commonly referred to as LAX.

Los Angeles is a city for all, with focus in commerce, international business, amusement, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research. It was the host city of two Summer Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984.

Among the many Universities in Los Angeles, LA is the home to the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles or UCLA. The well-known AFI Conservatory is a non-profit film school in LA. The Los Angeles Public Library is one of the largest State funded libraries in the world, and the historical Central Library Goodhue is located in downtown LA.

The Getty Center is the spectacular art museum which contains an impressive collection of works by such art-geniuses as Van Gogh and many others, along with the architectural marvel of its six buildings and magnificent gardens. The Dolby Theater is the first permanent hosting stage for the annual Academy Awards and the Oscars in the district of Hollywood.

Universal Studios Hollywood, which is both a film studio and theme park situated in Los Angeles, is not only the most famous, but one of the oldest film studios in Hollywood. LA is also famous for its love for music. The Walt Disney Concert Hall is an amazing concert hall with grand acoustics and is the home of Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra.

Nethercutt is a specialty museum which displays preserved vintage cars and has an enviable collection of mechanical musical instruments. The Griffith Observatory draws innumerable visitors each year and assists in unravelling the mystery of space, with the help of its planetariums and observatory towers.
