About Dundee Railway Station

Located on the east coast of Scotland, Dundee railway station services the city of Dundee on the east coast of Scotland. The station has four platforms in total, two terminal platforms, and two through platforms.

Dundee lies 95 kilometres north east of Edinburgh. The station is currently undergoing extensive renovations as part of a multimillion dollar upgrade project which is known as the Dundee Waterfront Project.

The site of the railway station is where the original Dundee Tay Bridge railway station once stood. The original station was built in the 1870's, then rebuilt in the 1960's.

Direct connections to London's Kings Cross Station, as well as York and Newcastle are available from the Dundee station. There are also country trains that provide passage to the West Country of England and Birmingham. Local services to the Glasgow Queen Street Station, Aberdeen and Edinburgh are also available.

A taxi rank is just outside the train station, and a very short five minute walk will get you to the bus station in the city's centre.
