The shamisen came to mainland Japan in the 16th century and became very popular through the 17th century.
Shamisen is one of the traditional musical instruments that feel the soul of Japanese people.
But most Japanese have never touched a shamisen or heard its live sound.
In particular, only a few dozen people have taken over the singing of "Goze," a blind female traveling entertainer now gone.
In this workshop you will learn about the history of the shamisen and the Goze.
Furthermore, by listening to the live performance of powerful and rustic Goze song, you can feel a Japan that even Japanese people do not know.
And you can take home a handmade mini-shamisen and fill your home with the soul of Japan echoing with its sound!

Spend the morning or afternoon delving into the history, people, music & food of the Garifuna culture on this half day tour. Meet your guide at Warasa Garifuna Drum School in Punta Gorda and step inside our open-air thatched palapa and learn about enjoy a one-hour drumming lesson. Learn about Garifuna drums and history and how to play up to 6 rhythms on the segunda drum. Play with your host, who will play the faster-paced primero drum while singing traditional songs. Afterwards, enjoy a group dancing lesson and about the different dance moves that accompany the rhythms you just learned to play. Next enjoy a 30 minute professional performance by your host and his talented, welcoming family group.

You can do it alone, or sing with your friends in parts like a K-pop group. We produce high-quality music that is much better than home recording. If you're not confident in your song, choose a service that includes a tune & mixing. Your voice will sound like a singer.
