My tour is a private tour.
This means that we are a small group where everyone knows each other.
We visit places in Venice that show the life of the Venetians. Of course, I will also show you well-known sights that you should have seen in Venice.
You set the pace and what interests you.
Since I live in Venice myself, I will report and show you how life in Venice works.
You will get to know places that are not overcrowded by crowds. I will introduce you to the Venetian way of life and tell you how the Venetians think.
A tour combination to discover the enchanting side of Venice through a morning walk, its Byzantine heritage through the St Mark's Basilica, and its deepest side through a gondola ride.
The first part will take into the enchanting Venice made up of countless bridges, channels and "campo" (little squares), the pulsing heart of a water city. You will learn more about Venice's present and past and interesting facts about life in a city built on water. Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Campo and Church SS. Giovanni e Paolo, the Mercerie, are only some of the highlights which will be admired during this walk.
You will discover one of the world's most beautiful and breathtaking cathedrals: The St Mark's Basilica, one of the finest exemple of Byzantine art in the world.
Then, let yourself admire Venice from a unique perspective: the water, by sliding on a enchanting gondola.
IMPORTANT!!: Between the Basilica guided tour and the gondola ride you will have approx a 3 hour-break.
This combined guided tour is divided into three parts.
The tour starts at 9.00am with a historical introduction of St. Marks’s Square, and its architectural delights.
Leaving the square, you will be guided into the residential Castello area, allowing you to discover this part of Venice in all of its elegance, through its labyrinth of narrow alleys - “calli”, many bridges, winding canals and wide picturesque squares - “campi”.
At 10.45 am you will proceed with the visit of the Saint Mark's Basilica, once the private chapel of the Doge of Venice, and the only one of its kind in Italy, thanks to the sumptous golden mosaics and impressive marble inlay flooring.
The last part is the gondola ride at 3 pm. Relax aboard this historic vessel, enjoying the thrills of both the Grand Canal and minor canals.

Live a unique adventure in Xochimilco aboard a trajinera over the water channels, enjoy the music and atmosphere that the guide will give you and also around you will see different vendors on boats / gondolas, where you can buy Mexican food, souvenirs and even hire mariachis or musical groups that will also approach in trajineras. You will pass near important places such as the Isla de las Muñecas and the axolotl museum, discover curious facts and history of this wonderful place, and live the Xochimilco party.
After a pleasant moment in Xochimilco we will continue enjoying a tour in Coyoacán, explore its beautiful streets, visit the Centennial Garden, the fountain of the Coyotes, the Monument to Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the kiosk, and the letters of Coyoacán. Do not forget to visit the parish of San Juan Bautista, take a lot of photos!

Hop aboard our classic 1975 VW Bus "La Combi" and embark on an unforgettable journey to two of the city's most famous sights: Coyoacan & Xochimilco!
In Coyoacan: We will enjoy some churros & coffee , after walk thru the streets, walk around the main the neighborhood, the plaza and explore a typical Mexican Market "Mercado".
For the 2nd stop, we will arrive at Xochimilco and hop on a colorful boat called a 'Trajinera.' We will cruise around the water canals while enjoying some food (tacos & quesadillas) and drinks on board. Depending on the group size; we might play loteria and enter a Axolotl farm.
Finally, we'll return to "La Combi" and transfer you back to the starting point.
