On 3/2/1887, the Scottish Prince was proceeding northward along the
east coast on the final stages of a voyage from Glasgow
to Brisbane. At 11:40pm the master left the deck, leaving the
second mate in charge—who had never sailed these waters
before. Shortly after midnight the vessel ran aground.
Several unsuccessful attempts were made by steamers to tow the ship off the bar. Within a few days, south-easterly weather conditions
deteriorated. The ship keeled over and was abandoned.
Over time the decks opened up allowing cases of cargo including sewing machines, drapery, whiskey, beer and mineral waters to be washed ashore.
The bow of the iron hull is pointing towards the shore and is broken into three main sections. The bow and stern are both reasonably intact; however the side plates and decks have collapsed.
It is now a habitat which provides food and shelter for a variety of marine life including sponges, corals, pelagic and reef fish, rays, octopus and wobbegong sharks.

The half hour Safari will blast you along pristine beaches, Wave Break Island, through Crab Island, south of Sovereign Island and back down along the sandy shores of South Stradbroke Island. This is a short and sweet safari which gives you good taste of Jet Ski adventure and a brief look at the beautiful waterways.
Our Small Boat Whale Watching tour is an absolutely personalised experience. This 2-3h Gold Coast Whale Watching adventure tour is on a smaller vessel with a maximum of 8 participants. Spectators can look forward to closer and longer encounters as humpback whales do not feel intimated by a smaller vessel. The outer tubes of our semi-inflatable vessel are only 50cm above the water surface. This even allows you to submerge your waterproof camera on passing whales for some great underwater shots for those lucky enough.
Whilst no vessel is allowed to approach whales closer than 100m, our experience shows that the whales are usually approaching us whilst our engines are turned off and the vessel drifts through the water. For this very reason, our vessel is frequently chartered by research groups to conduct field surveys and sampling.
Our Whale Adventures are truly unique. We utilise a small vessel in small groups of only 12 guests, providing an unparalleled, personal, and boutique whale watching experience. We closely work with researchers and encourage all our guests to become inspired by what we do.
Swimming with whales is a our ultimate experience and provides you with an opportunity to see and listen to the whales underwater.
We will kit you up with a wetsuit (winter), mask, snorkel and life jacket. Once alongside a pod of whales, you will swim out along a floating rope designed to provide you with a safe and relaxing time with other swimmers. Once in the water you will be able to see and hear the whales.

NOTE - The whales are fickle creatures and will choose if they want to swim with you. We have no control over their activities, however staying calm is best.
Cook Island, a short boat trip from the Gold Coast, is an accessible and appealing dive site for all experience levels. A colourful and interesting mix of reef and pelagic fish call Cook Island home: pufferfish, gropers, surgeonfish, anemonefish, leatherjackets, parrotfish, trevally, bullseyes and sweetlips are some of the most common residents. Photographers will find plenty of photogenic subjects, with nudibranchs, stingrays, turtles, wobbegongs and even leopard sharks over summer.

Zoom around the waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater on this 55 minute thrilling jet boat ride. As you race through the scenic waterway, your captain points out landmarks including Southport Yacht Club, Palazzo Versace Hotel, Marina Mirage, Seaworld, Sovereign Island and Moreton Bay Marine Park.
